With Mothers Day approaching fast (now past) I normally take my mum into town and go for a nice relaxing Afternoon tea.

This year with the current issues, it was going to have to be at home.

I asked on my Instagram story if anyone could recommend a good place to order from and the one that had the most votes for a local company was Caffe Romana.

The Collection

This was presented in a nice colourful box, and you could see all the goodies inside with a lovely little bow to finish it off.

The Afternoon Tea

After getting the presentation ready, and also buying a bottle of prosecco I was ready to present it to my mum

How good does it look! we both couldn’t wait to dig in.

Here is a few close up of some of the cakes etc

Everything tastes fresh, lovely and myself and my mum couldn’t fault any of it.

Also included was a hot chocolate dipper with marshmallows from (Yer Maw Sells Chocolate) which was lovely and mega tasty.

My mum loved this and enjoyed every bite, and also commented like me that everything tasted so fresh, light and very tasty.

Overall :

I am glad I was introduced to Café Romana, the café looked really lovely from my visit to collect the Afternoon Tea.

I plan once things are back to normal, taking a wee drive and having a proper sit in and enjoy more of their lovely cakes etc.

Overall we both really enjoyed the Afternoon Tea and both would highly recommend Café Romana

Please do Café Romana out and Yer Maw Sells Chocolate when you can.

Afternoon Tea at La Bonne Auberge (Glasgow) : Review

Today I went out with my mum and gran, and we went for a wee afternoon tea at La Bonne Auberge.

I have been here before, and so has my mum and gran. We have always loved the atmosphere, and their afternoon tea’s.

The Food

We booked via 5pm and then booked the time slot that suited us best.

I am a big fan of afternoon tea, you have sandwiches, cakes and then sweets and a coffee whats not to like?

The atmosphere in here is always lovely, plus since it was near Christmas they had decorated inside very nice.

Presentation just like the last time was very nice….The afternoon tea was very good, and very tasty.

The sandwiches I mostly ate were salmon which was lovely and fresh, and I always love a scone cream and jam. If i was too be very fussy here….clotted cream is 100% better but it was still a very nice scone cream and jam.

The cakes well you know me I have a sweet tooth, most were gone but I was so full I had to take some home.

Visit Overall :

I cant fault anything today, the staff, service and afternoon tea was really good.

We all had a very relaxing time, and enjoyed every moment and plan on coming back again.

Dads Birthday Afternoon Tea at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel (Edinburgh) : Review

Wanted to post this a while ago, but had a few priority things to post so finally here it is.

The past week I have had bad news followed by more bad news, and this same week it was my dads birthday….just all bad timing.

We booked this ages ago, as the last time we were here we loved it and thought my dad would like it to….and we couldn’t wait to go back.

The afternoon tea was served in “Peacock Alley” which has a great atmosphere for Afternoon Tea, catchups or even private meetings.

How good does this sound? just reading it made my mouth water.

The Afternoon Tea

As you saw from the above photo, it sounded amazing! and we all couldnt wait till it came out.

As you can see the presentation was really good.

The food from start to finish was perfect! it was the perfect amount and everything was very very tasty.

The best part which I really love is they gave clotted cream with the scones, this is the only way scones jam and cream should be served……top marks here!!!!

Visit Overall :

Another amazing visit, and my dad really enjoyed it.

I cant fault this in anyway, everything was fresh tasty and the whole time spent there was so relaxing.

The staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive.

If you havent tried here for Afternoon Tea, you have to check it out as I promise you that you wont be disappointed.
