I am not a tea person, I prefer my coffee’s but today was a little family day trip and it was also another new place for me to visit.

Looking Around

Ok this is not what I was expecting!

This was a very funky, different place to the way I imagined it. There were seating areas with tabes, areas you could sit on the floor to drink your tea this was very different but cool at the same time.

The Tea

As mentioned I am not really a tea person, but I decided to look for ones that were either sweet or sounded different and I would just randomly pic one of those.

Raspberry Flower £3.60
old remedy for many things such as nervousness, bowel pains and sore throats. This tasty tea may not taste of raspberry fruit, but it has a refreshing flavour all of its own.

I poured the tea, and drank it and….it just tasted like tea.

For me this was just a meh, tasted like any other tea I have had in the past

Visit Overall :

What a cool and interesting little place, it had a funky interior and had a MASSIVE amount of teas on the menu.

Unfortunately I still don’t think tea is for me, but maybe one day I could be proven wrong.

Till my next visit..

This was an Itison deal I got as part of Mother’s Day, it was £19 for Afternoon Tea for two at the Apex Hotel in Glasgow.

I had never been here before to stay, dine or for Afternoon Tea but the images I saw on the offer page was very nice and I booked.

On arrival we were shown to the table, and asked what drinks we would like with the Afternoon Tea.

The Afternoon Tea…

When it arrived the presentation was very nice, and I couldn’t wait to start and see how this was compared to the other Afternoon Tea’s I have had.

From start to end this was very nice, my only issue was there could have been slightly bigger sandwiches or even a few more.

The one part of this that stood out was the little Haggis Bon Bon’s, these were AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall it was a very nice day, and very nice Afternoon and definitely worth the money. If I see the deal on again, I will be purchasing it again.

I was invited to the bloggers launch night for this relaunch, but unfortunately I couldn’t attend as I was in Italy at that point.

So I added it to my list to try and today I visited.

I had only ever been here once many years ago, so I had a rough idea of how it looked. On entering what a difference, the area looked much bigger and brighter and very modern.

I took a look outside as it was a nice day, I can’t remember if this is how it looked or this is now been improved but either way its very nice, and looked very relaxing.

The Food…

Afternoon Tea £N/A (used a voucher)

On arrival the presentation was very nice, another unique way to present the Afternoon Tea. Some places I have been to go for the traditional way, others have tried to be a little more modern just like to day….either way it always works.

The afternoon tea was very fresh, tasty and I enjoyed it very much. My issue normally is when it comes to the scones is it cheap cream or clotted (this is the better option to have when doing scone jam and cream) today was clotted which was excellent.

The revamp here for me looks really good, I was very impressed at how much it had changed and improved the look and feel. For me the outside looked much nicer than the inside, but thats only if you have a nice day in Glasgow to sit outside.

The service was very good today, and we got chatting to the manager who was very pleasant and helpful.
