Boteco Do Brasil (Glasgow) 2021 : Review

The Visit

Tonight I was meeting a group of friends and drinks, and it was great to be back at Boteco.

I have visited here many times and I even filmed an Episode of my Blogger meets blogger series here so I couldn’t wait to order some food and cocktails.

The Food

I wanted to order some tapas to try a few dishes, and I opted for two. I remembered how good these were last time, so I had to order them again tonight.

Pão De Queijo (gf) (v) £4.95
Baked cheese balls originally from the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. Soft and irresistible!

I had these the last time I was here, and they were super addictive.

I picked one up and took a nice big bite, and it was just as good as I remember.

This is basically a soft cheese ball, kind of like a soft fluffy cheese roll but much much nicer.

These were super tasty and I could have easily had many many more of these.

Guess what I will be getting again on my next visit 🙂

My Rating :

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Risoli de camarão £4.95
Delicious small pastry parcels filled with prawns and served with guacamole dip.

This was one I couldn’t remember the taste of, but I did remember I enjoyed this very much.

I took a bit and instantly remembered trying this the last time, and ohhhh so so tasty!

It was the perfect balance of flavour from the prawns and parcel, and then dipping it in the guacamole dip just added that extra mmmm to it.

Highly recommended!

My Rating :

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Overall :

It was great to be back here, the atmosphere, food and cocktails were amazing.

We all had a fantastic night, and said we would be back here soon.

My Rating :

Rating: 5 out of 5.

This for me is a hard review, to be honest, I have never had there on my list to visit as I am not a big meat person or steak person….but tonight I visited to see what it was like.

IMG_0999.jpg

Inside it was a lot bigger than it looked, and very open which I liked so I knew I wouldn’t be too close to the table next to me.

Tonight one of us had an ItIsOn, and I just went off the menu. I opted for the Rodizio Especial £18.95 (as was after 5pm)IMG_0997.jpg

So basically the idea is, from start to finish a waiter comes round the table and gives you a slice of something…..that something depends on what menu you opt to choose so it could be steak, lamb, chicken etc…

I didn’t take any photos as the presentation is not something you look for here, as its just slices of meat etc on your plate.

What meats etc I did try were nice, but I left with the same thought as I went in with…its a good restaurant for someone who is a big meat eater but for me….this style is not for me.

Don’t let my review put you off going, as I said this is my opinion and you could go and love it…so do please give them a shot and see if its something you like.
