The Tea’s

Lots and lots of tea to try

I sat down over the course of the last week and finally got round to try each these tea’s, as I have been very busy and now finally have the time to get back to my blogs.

Each night I sat with a different tea, and enjoyed a cup of that specifics nights tea.

Each tea smelled really nice and that’s just me opening the packets, the one tea that really smelled good to me was the “Finest Earl Grey” it had a lovely lemon hint to it.

The one that I wasn’t a fan of was the green tea, but I think thats one you either like or you hate….kinda like Marmite…the marmite of the tea world.

The two teas I enjoyed the most were the “Moroccan Mint Tea” and the “Finest Earl Grey”

Overall :

Firstly a big thank you to Strathearn Tea for all these amazing tea’s.

If your a tea lover then head on over to their Instagram and place an order, you will love these!!!!

I am now going to go and enjoy another cup 🙂

Dads Birthday Afternoon Tea at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel (Edinburgh) : Review

Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh
Princes Street
Edinburgh, EH1 2AB

V: 5th September 2020

Wanted to post this a while ago, but had a few priority things to post so finally here it is.

The past week I have had bad news followed by more bad news, and this same week it was my dads birthday….just all bad timing.

We booked this ages ago, as the last time we were here we loved it and thought my dad would like it to….and we couldn’t wait to go back.

The afternoon tea was served in “Peacock Alley” which has a great atmosphere for Afternoon Tea, catchups or even private meetings.

Menu

To save me typing it up, here is the pic

How good does this sound? just reading it made my mouth water.

The Afternoon Tea

As you saw from the above photo, it sounded amazing! and we all couldnt wait till it came out.

As you can see the presentation was really good.

The food from start to finish was perfect! it was the perfect amount and everything was very very tasty.

The best part which I really love is they gave clotted cream with the scones, this is the only way scones jam and cream should be served……top marks here!!!!

Visit Overall :

Another amazing visit, and my dad really enjoyed it.

I cant fault this in anyway, everything was fresh tasty and the whole time spent there was so relaxing.

The staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive.

If you havent tried here for Afternoon Tea, you have to check it out as I promise you that you wont be disappointed.

I am not a tea person, I prefer my coffee’s but today was a little family day trip and it was also another new place for me to visit.

Looking Around

Ok this is not what I was expecting!

This was a very funky, different place to the way I imagined it. There were seating areas with tabes, areas you could sit on the floor to drink your tea this was very different but cool at the same time.

The Tea

As mentioned I am not really a tea person, but I decided to look for ones that were either sweet or sounded different and I would just randomly pic one of those.

Raspberry Flower £3.60
old remedy for many things such as nervousness, bowel pains and sore throats. This tasty tea may not taste of raspberry fruit, but it has a refreshing flavour all of its own.

I poured the tea, and drank it and….it just tasted like tea.

For me this was just a meh, tasted like any other tea I have had in the past

Visit Overall :

What a cool and interesting little place, it had a funky interior and had a MASSIVE amount of teas on the menu.

Unfortunately I still don’t think tea is for me, but maybe one day I could be proven wrong.

Till my next visit..
