Cosmo World Buffet (St Enoch Centre, Glasgow) 2022 : Review

Todays Visit

The guys at Cosmo invited me to come to their new location situated in the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow city centre. Its situated in the perfect location to grab a meal then head up to the Vue cinema for a wee movie night.

I have been to their Silverburn Shopping Centre one and it really did change my mind on buffets, as prior to my visit there I really didn’t like buffets as the food was always bland and not really good.

I was looking forward to this visit and set a date and time.

How It Looks

When walking in I was extremely impressed at how lovely and fancy this place was!

The décor was amazing and really gave off that warm, relaxing and luxurious feeling.

Tonight was very busy, but I managed to take photos where nobody was featured in them, as I don’t like taking pics of others when they are eating.

They also had a robot that took dirty dishes back to a cleaning area, this was very cool and I really liked this idea.

The Food

As you would expect from a world buffet there should be choices from most places around the world.

There were Indian, Chinese, Italian options, etc., and there was a good choice from each section.

I went for a mixed starter, and then Indian main.

The starters I chose were very nice, and I would have them again. The main was much better and I tried the butter chicken and also the sweet and sour chicken.

Both of these dishes had really nice flavour, and I was very impressed with the sweet and sour chicken as it wasn’t too vinegary which I have tasted at other buffets and even restaurants.

I even tried the sushi and again just like everything else tonight it was very fresh and tasty!.

Dessert Time!

Dessert Time! yip there is always room for dessert and I wanted to check out most of what they had on offer at tonight’s visit.

I grabbed a selection and sat down and tasted everything I picked.

My favourite was the Tiramisu but everything I choose hit my sweet tooth perfectly!

Visit Overall

I really enjoyed my visit tonight, I had a great time and really enjoyed all the food that I chose.

The food was just as good as the other branch at Silverburn, packed with flavour, fresh and very tasty!

This is a perfect spot to take a family or a date before going to see a film or after a big shop or both.

Have you been here since its opened? let me know what you thought.

FoodHub order at Coco Melon Desserts (Tollcross, Glasgow) : Review

The guys over at sent me a discount code to have a wee treat and check out their app again.

Foodhub unlike rivals, Just Eat & Uber Eats don’t take commission from your local takeaway which is on average around 15%, which means it’s a better deal for the takeaway and for us the consumers, as Foodhub is on average 15% cheaper than the rest!

Check out my previous FoodHub post HERE

Foodhub have recently conducted a survey and found that the majority of Brits have named the CHEESECAKE as their favourite cake, followed closely behind by the chocolate cake.

To celebrate National Cake Day, Foodhub is offering 20% off delicious desserts at designated dessert shops on the Foodhub app. To claim your 20% discount, head to the Foodhub app and use code: CAKE 2020 (valid on National Cake Day 26th November only – £5 maximum redemption).

So I had to order a cheesecake or two, and while I was at it a random choice of sweets as I needed a sweet tooth fix tonight.

The sweets

 Reece’s Belgian Waffle

I have only recently found out that I am not allergic to peanuts, and now have a wee addiction to anything Reece’s so when I saw this I had to order it.

On opening the packaging the smell was soo good, and visually mmm so much so my mouth started to water.

Regular Oreo Cookie Sundee

Another fav of mine are Oreo’s and when I saw they did this, I had to place an order and see what it was like.

I dug right into this as soon as I took the photo, the crunchiness of the Oreo’s, the ice-cream, the sauces mmmmm a perfect combo.

Terry’s Orange Cookie Dough

Two of my favs coming together, Terrys orange and cookie dough surely this couldnt fail?

I could have had many many many more servings of this, as it was just so so good.

I will be getting this again soon!!

Churros with Chocolate Sauce

This always reminds me of going to a Christmas market, as this is something I tend to get as the smell always pulls me in.

These were just as you would expect, slightly crunchy, sugary, soft centre and very mmm

Regular Bounty Milkshake

I saw this and thought why not, lets see what its like.

I love bounty bars, so I thought this should be just like them?

I was a little disappointed as it didn’t have a great Bounty flavour, just a subtle one but it was still nice.

Chocolate Fudge Cake

I have not had chocolate fudge cake in ages, I dont know why as there was a period where this is all I would get.

This nice and warm with cream was so good, and I remembered why I loved getting this so much.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Strawberry Cheesecake

I had to order a cheesecake so I did and this is what I got.

You cant go wrong with a strawberry cheesecake, thats all I can say as its just so nice 🙂

The MB Fairy – Treat Box (Glasgow) : Review

I got gifted a box previously from The MB Fairy, and said I would order again….and I did. This time I said to surprise me as everything looked good, and I couldn’t make my mind up.

If you check out her instagram page @thembfairy you will see how good everything looks.⠀

Treat Box Contents

Now it was tasting time 🙂

Old School Cake

Cast your mind back to high school and the cakes you used to get there, this is exactly that but 100% much nicer.

I purchased a box of treats from @thembfairy as previously I got gifted some, and they were very good so I had to get more.

As I said this was just like the old school cake, but it was much nicer and super moreish!!!

Mars Bar Cake

Next from my treat box to try was the Mars Bar Cake, this looked good and I am a big fan of Mar Bars.

I cut these up and took a bite and instantly mmm I could taste the chocolate, the mars bar and the crispys…..this was a perfect bite and before I knew it the portion was finished.

This was a solid 5/5 for me⠀

Crunchie Tiffin

Next from my treat box to try was the Crunchie Tiffin , this looked good I couldn’t wait to dig in.

I took a big bite of this and I loved the texture, flavour and again wow so good. I think the flavour and texture is what made this really good to eat mmm

I could have easily had more and more of this one.⠀

Millionaires Shortbread

I am mega fussy when it comes to any kind of shortbread, caramel or millionaires etc etc why? I have always found that there is either too much base or too much topping and not enough of the middle part.

As you can see from the photos this had a good-sized middle and a nice balanced base and top, now it was time to taste.

Perfection! Everything worked really well and had a really yummy flavour! Now, this is how you make these!

A solid 5/5

Maltesers Brownie

And there’s more….⠀

This was a great selection I got from @thembfairy and now it was time to taste the Malteser Brownie.⠀

As you can see from the photos these looked really good, then again everything I got looked and tasted good so now time to dig in.⠀

This was very nice, its exactly as how you would expect it to taste and like the others mega moreish.⠀

Overall :

Note : Just because this was gifted, that has not influenced my thoughts in any way. The above is a 100% honest review of these amazing sweet treats.

This really hit my sweet tooth more than once, and was amazing from first bite to the very last crumb.

If you liked what you saw, or have a sweet tooth like me then head on over to the MB Fairys instagram page @thembfairy and send her a message for an order or two.
