I like visiting Tribeca, as I know I am going to have some good burgers and the staff are always very nice.

Main Course :

Beef Burger £5

I couldnt just have a burger on its own, I had to add extra toppings it would be rude not to 🙂

I added the following toppings : Candied Bacon £1.50, Smoked Jack Cheese £95p, Chipotle Mayo 50p

These toppings and a really good burger was perfect, every bite was full of flavour and very very moreish!

Side :

Yeah I had to have a side to, but this was a shared side so I wasn’t as greedy as it looks.

Truffle Trouble Fries £6.95

Parmesan, garlic and coriander fries, Truffle oil

The truffle oil and Parmesan made these super irresistible and wanting more. I would recommend these highly! and if your like me just have one to yourself and don’t share….that’s what I will be doing next visit 🙂

Well this is a first for me, as I have had many plans over the past few years to come here and eat or drink…or even both but something has always made me change my plans.

Tonight I was attending a Jagermeister Cold Brew event so I thought I would visit early and finally see the Tiki Bar and try the food.

The Food

Since I had an event to attend I didn’t want to be late, so I decided just to go for small dishes for quickness….but next visit I will try some other dishes.

Dinner

Honey Pork Ribs £6.50

pork ribs in sticky honey sauce (Ce) (GF, DF, NF)

This smelled good and looked nice, and I have not had ribs for ages so I was really looking forward to this.

This was messy, full of flavour and just mega mmm the meat was tender and the sauce was really good.

Its a bit costly for what you get compared to other restaurants.

Salt & Pepper Squid £6.50

lightly battered squid tossed in mixed spices with Thai sweet & sour dressing, served with green Mayo

I love this dish so I had to try it here.

I picked up my squid and it was soft! huh what ever sauce they drizzled over the top has made it soft…shouldn’t this be crispy?

It was nice but the flavour was lacking and also I expected them to be crispy or even just a little.

Again a little costly for the portion size.

Sweet :

Deep Fried Mars Bar £3.00

I saw this and had to try how here do it.

Ok so this was actually really good, I think I still prefer the one from a chip shop but it was nice here and I would have this again here.

Visit Overall :

What a disappointment, don’t get me wrong the food was good but a little costly for the portion sizes as I have had these dishes at other restaurants for cheaper and was just as good or better.

Sorry guys, I will try something else next time I visit.

Lunch Time Menu : 2 Course £11.99

Now this is very different for me, me visiting Lychee Oriental for lunch!

On entering I saw the changes inside, and wow looks very nice! I was very impressed it still has the same feel and atmosphere but style much more cosy and ambient.

The Food

Now it was time to see what food I wanted, and yes! I did pick something other than the same chicken dish.

Starter

Spare Ribs with BBQ Sauce

Spare Ribs with BBQ Sauce

I have not had spare ribs in a very long time, so I was really looking forward to this.

When it arrived the smell was very good, and got my mouth watering.

WOW the ribs were perfectly cooked as the meat slide off the bone, and the flavour was amazing!! I now have found my favourite spare ribs!

Again there were so many options I wanted to try, but I opted for this.

Crispy Lemon Chicken & Fried Rice

Crispy Lemon Chicken & Fried Rice

I have had this dish before, and remember I liked it but wanted to try it again as its been a while.

Guys this was really good, the chicken was tender, the batter was just crispy and the lemon flavour was perfect.

I am not just saying this but WOW a perfect dish.

Visit Overall :

I always love coming back to Lychee Oriental, as its my favourite Chinese restaurant in Glasgow. The staff, service and food are always perfect.

Today I had a very good lunch, and for the price the portion sizes were just the same as what you would normally be served.

I highly recommend you visit here at lunch or in the evening, you will not be disappointed!
