Visit & Vibes

The last time I visited the Isle of Mull, I really wanted to come here, but I didn’t realize the location was closed that day.

On this visit, I wanted to make 100% sure I’d see it open so I could finally go inside and try the food.

On arrival, I was so glad to see the doors open and finally tick this place off my list.

The interior is truly stunning; the glass design is amazing and offers a fantastic view of the greenery. I was thrilled to finally sit down and enjoy some lunch.

Raspberry Lemonade £3.05

Along with my lunch, I ordered the Summer House raspberry lemonade. I didn’t expect much from this drink, but honestly, that first sip completely changed my mind.

It was absolutely delicious. The raspberry flavour was vibrant but not at all overpowering; the whole drink was perfectly balanced. I could easily have had several more!

I’m so glad I branched out instead of sticking to my usual order. If you’re ever here, I highly recommend trying it if you’re a raspberry fan.

They have other flavours too, so if raspberry isn’t your thing, definitely try one of those.

Isle of Mull Cheese Toastie £9.50
Oozing with our tangy Farmhouse cheese, with a side of homemade chutney and dressed salad.

Add our Island Pork ham to make it meaty £2.00

While walking to my seat, I noticed the cakes on display and told myself I had to try one after my meal. However, I didn’t realize just how filling my order would be! Unfortunately, I ended up being too full to have any.

When the food arrived, it looked incredible and the portion was huge. I opted to add the pork for a small additional cost, and let me tell you, it was completely worth it.

From the first bite, I was impressed; the toastie was lovely and soft in the center with a slight crispness on the outside. The cheese had a fantastic flavour and the pork was gorgeous. The entire dish was delicious from start to finish.

As I mentioned, it was a very filling lunch. Since I didn’t have room for those cakes this time, I’ll make sure that on my next visit to the island, I arrive extremely hungry!

Final Thoughts…

Overall, I had a fantastic time. I’m so happy I finally made it inside to enjoy a lovely lunch surrounded by such stunning scenery, both indoors and out.

I could have stayed there all day, nibbling on food and sipping those lemonades while soaking up the atmosphere. It was truly wonderful. If you’re on the Isle of Mull and have never been here, I highly recommend checking it out! Just be sure to double-check their opening times so you aren’t disappointed like I was during my first visit to the island.
