£60 inc delivery (4 course menu and a bottle of wine for two)⠀

The delivery

As you can see its a massive box, and extremely well laid out, great presentation and probably the best home delivery you will ever see as I can’t fault anything about it.

What I got in the box : ⠀

  • Menu⠀
  • Cooking “Bangkok” cooking instructions booklet⠀
  • Your starter, main, sides and dessert⠀

Obviously, depending on the month the style of food will be different but this month was Bangkok.⠀

Starter

Tom Yum Soup

I have never had Tom Yum Soup before, so I was looking forward to try this.⠀

I opened my cooking guide book and followed the instructions, as this was heating up the smell was amazing and my mouth started to water.

After the given time, and a few tastes to see if it was warm enough I poured it into a bowl and sat down to enjoy my soup.⠀

This was sooo good and I am not just saying that the flavour was really nice and it had a small kick. I could have easily had more of this, and could easily have this on a regular basis and that’s saying something as I am not really a soup fan but this was soo good.

Main course

Panang Chicken Curry

To start with for this one, I had to remove the chicken from the container and place in the oven. Once that was nearly ready, to start preparing the sauce and vegetables….and sides (next Instagram post for the sides)

The smell from the chicken cooking and then the sauce was really good, my mouth was watering and I was wishing the timer would hurry up and finish.

The pressure was on, as I wanted to plate this up and make it look as good as I could as it was really quality food, mega tasty and I wanted to make sure I did it justice.

Plated up, photos taken….time to dig in.⠀

The sauce with the vegetables, chicken or combination of both wow!!! I was very impressed with this, and finished everything again just like the starter I could have easily had seconds!!!

The Sides

Steamed Jasmine Rice

This was super easy to cook, a quick 2 to 3 minutes in the microwave and done.

I tried this on its own to start with and it was very soft and had a great flavour, and mixed with the main course sauce or chicken etc all the flavours worked extremely well.

Crispy Pork Pad Thai

The guide book said “it’s intended to be enjoyed cold” so U plated it up as nice as I could and put it aside till everything else was ready.

This was very nice, for me it needed the pork to add a little more flavour…but that’s a personal preference. Mixed with everything else, again very nice.

Desert :

Coconut & Cardamon Rice Pudding
with optional Salted bean curd caramel and exotic fruit compote⠀

I was starting to feel very full, but I had one more dish to prepare and taste.

This sounded very nice, with and without the optional ingredients. For me, I knew once the rice pudding was about ready I would add the caramel into the rice and mix, as I have a sweet tooth and this would make it extra nice for my personal taste.

WOW! perfection! bursting with flavour and very nice! I then added a little of the fruit compote and took a bite…again this worked very well with the way I had prepared this.

I finished it all.⠀

The wine and cheese

The Cheese: Landana 500 : pineapple & nigella chutney with water crackers⠀

The Wine: Le Sentier Blanc 2018 (Gascony, France)⠀

Now, who doesn’t love some cheese and wine? we all do….I actually didn’t have this when my Home By Nice arrived I saved it for the next night as I was so full from my amazing 3-course meal.⠀

This was a nice little extra and added to the meal, the wine was very nice….very light and worked really well with the cheese and crackers.

Keep watching my posts for my pics for every part of my Home by Nice experience.⠀

I tried a bun on its own and one with a chicken burger so I could see how it was.

On a chicken burger they added that extra flavour, and were perfect. Next time I will try it with a normal burger and see how it is, but I am sure they will be really good.⠀

Olly’s Pretzel Thins⠀

Olly’s Pretzel Thins – Salted Original : ⠀

I am a fan of any salted crisps, but it has to have enough salt to tickle my tastebuds.⠀

I popped this open and took a bite.⠀

These were very nice and had enough salt and really enjoyable. I found these very light, and easy to eat and would be a perfect snack or alternative to crisps.⠀

After trying the salted one these were next on my list.⠀

Ohh I really liked the flavour of these, and just like the salted ones very easy and very moreish.⠀

Brynmor Chocolate Flapjack
A delicious chocolate coated flapjack.

I love flapjacks, they are a nice wee snack to have to fight hunger and very tasty.

This one was VERY tasty, I don’t know what they did but wow I really liked the flavours of this one and the chocolate was very nice.

I highly recommend this.

Maltesers Hot Chocolate

I used to have hot chocolate all the time, and then dunno why I stopped it but have enjoyed it more recently.⠀

I love Maltesers, and didn’t even know they did hot chocolate so it was thanks to Degustabox I learned about this and got to try it.

This tastes great! I started with just hot water but found If you put it in the milk before heating it up, it does a better job of mixing and melting.

Two words, Addictive and Delicious!!!⠀

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Minis

It was only till recently I thought I was allergic to everything nuts, but I found out that peanuts I am 100% fine with and that’s when my love for Reece’s started.

This was included in this months Degustabox and I was very happy to see this, as I have had these before and mmmm they are just so so so so good.

If you love peanuts and haven’t tried these, you are mega missing out.

Again unfortunately due to cashew, I had to get a friend to review.⠀

Man Behind the Mirror : Teeth Whitening Kit : Review

GIFTED

The guys over at Man Behind the Mirror sent me their teeth whitening kit to try.

I have looked at teeth whitening kits in the past, but never got around to try one….not sure why as it was something that I really wanted to get to brighten my teeth.

I brush regularly and use mouthwash, but still they are never as bright as I would really like them.

This year I also started to reduce my intake of coffee and fizzy drinks like coke, one to try and improve my health and two to help reduce staining my teeth.

ABOUT them

Our at-home Teeth Whitening Kit is designed to visibly whiten your teeth in just 10 minutes, with a proven gel formulation that ensures zero sensitivity.

From £49.95

A SIMPLE 3-STEP WHITENING PROCESS

The Kit

The kit comes in a very nice box which looks really good before you even open it.

On opening its been designed to have two compartments, the top for the gel and the bottom for the device. I found this very cool, and found it very professional.

Getting started

The instruction guide is mega easy to follow, and I had no issues putting it all together and starting with the whitening process.

The two things that you should try and remember is

  1. Brush before using the kit
  2. Avoid dark coloured drinks like red wine, coffee, tea etc..

How I got on

I tried using the daily, but once or twice things got in the way and I forgot but for the most part it was daily use.

Here is a before and after of my teeth.

Not the most Instragramable photo but it does show the difference, and as you can see it did lighten them. Sorry for the lighter and darker pic, it took me a few times to get a clear photo that close.

Its a great product, as I even used this while I was deciding what to watch on Netflix a few times…its so simple to use.

Product Overall :

Note : Just because this was gifted, that has not influenced my thoughts in any way. The above is a 100% honest review of the kit.

Firstly a big thanks to the guys at Man Behind The Mirror for the kit.

As you have read I had no issues with the kit, easy to use and setup and it did whiten my teeth which you can see from the before and after pic.

As you saw they are lighter, I think I would need a few more months use to get them to the shade I want but it did work! they did make them go a little lighter which is great 🙂

I have no issues recommending this product and for the price its definitely worth it.
