Visit & Vibes

I was fortunate enough to receive an invitation to the pre-launch of LuckyB’s on Hillington Road, Paisley Road West, for their new branch opening.

Tonight’s event promised a variety of attractions including food, a DJ, a saxophone player, and a fire dancer. Having previously visited LuckyB’s in Giffnock, I departed after enjoying my meal, albeit with a slight aftertaste from the burger, which left me somewhat hesitant to return.

However, as you continue reading, you’ll discover that I had a fantastic time at the event. The food surpassed my expectations, and it’s a place I’ll be recommending. Stay tuned to learn more about my experience, the dishes I tried, and my overall impressions.

Upon entering, I was struck by the spaciousness of the venue, exuding that signature vibrant red LuckyB’s style.

There’s a designated area for ordering, whether you prefer to dine in or opt for takeaway, allowing you to witness the chefs in action behind the scenes. Additionally, there are various seating options available, including seated sections and even a booth if you choose to dine in.

Upon entering, we were greeted by the DJ (DJ Major) spinning some amazing tunes, accompanied by the incredibly talented saxophonist (Saxingh) whose performance was truly impressive. The fire dancer captivated us with her mesmerizing skills, providing entertaining moments throughout her performance.

Even after her departure, the captivating music from the saxophonist and the DJ continued, enhancing the already fantastic atmosphere of the evening from the moment we arrived, throughout the meal, and until we departed.

Before placing our orders tonight, samples of each spice level of the burgers, including the chicken burgers, were brought out. I tried all of them, and while the hottest one proved to be too fiery for my taste, I did enjoy the standard and medium hot levels, which left me quite satisfied. Although the spiciest one had a delightful flavour, I’m unsure if I could handle a full chicken burger at that heat level.

Perhaps I’ll give it a try during my next visit. Stay tuned to see if I do!

The Food

There were numerous tempting burger options to choose from, but the Buffalo Burger particularly piqued my interest, so I decided to go with that one, opting for the standard level of spiciness just to play safe.

This burger was massive, it had a delightful aroma.

As shown in the pictures above, the Buffalo Burger was BIG, requiring me to use both hands to hold it, and it demanded quite an effort to take a substantial bite.

The burger itself was amazing. Each bite delivered an explosion of flavour, with perfectly cooked chicken that was exceptionally tender, thanks to their new intense fryers, a detail I learned about during the evening.

The combination of buffalo sauce, cheese, jalapenos, and pickles worked really well, resulting in an overall amazing flavour. While I could have easily indulged in another serving, I restrained myself from going overboard.

I highly recommend trying this burger if you ever visit. In my opinion, it ranks among the best chicken burgers I’ve ever tasted. Although I plan to explore other menu options upon my return, I suspect I’ll find it hard to resist ordering the Buffalo Burger again, given how much I enjoyed it.

Tater Tots £n/a tonight (normally £3.29)

For my side dish, I chose tater tots.

Lately, whenever I’ve had the opportunity to try them at various events or venues, I’ve discovered that I, really, really enjoy them. So naturally, that’s what I decided to order tonight.

I selected the tater tots with cheese, and I was also offered the option of having them dusted with seasoning, although I can’t recall exactly what it was. Nevertheless, it added a subtle kick to the flavour, which complemented the dish perfectly.

These tater tots were incredibly tasty and disappeared in no time at all. I thoroughly relished every bite and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone visiting. I thoroughly enjoyed these tater tots, and once again, I highly recommend them to anyone who visits.

Final Thoughts…

First and foremost, a huge thank you to the hosts for extending the invitation to me tonight. I’m incredibly grateful that I decided to attend, as my initial expectations of it being just okay quickly transformed into excitement about returning to savour more of their delicious offerings.

Furthermore, I discovered that the improvements implemented at this branch will also be applied to the Giffnock location. I’m eagerly anticipating revisiting that branch once the changes have been made, to see if it maintains the same exceptional standard that I experienced tonight.

Initially, I was hesitant about attending, as I was somewhat undecided about it. However, after tonight’s outstanding experience, I am now adding this restaurant to my list of top dining destinations.

The quality of the food surpassed my expectations, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to others. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, so be sure to give it a try!
