Lunch at Kingshouse Hotel (Glencoe) 2026 : Review

Visit & Vibes

I’ve wanted to stay at this hotel for years, and I finally made it! read about my stay here

The first thing I did upon arrival was pop inside for some lunch.

The interior was lovely, nicely decorated, cozy, and bright. The atmosphere was perfect, and I was lucky enough to be shown to a window seat with a fantastic view.

The Food

Menu Choice★★★★★

Pan Fried Potato Gnocchi £17.00
Slow Roasted Sweet Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes, Rocket

Looking at the menu, there were a few items I really fancied, ranging from the Haggis, a burger to the fish and chips and the mussels. However, I decided to try something different and opted for the pan-fried potato gnocchi.

When my lunch arrived, the presentation was beautiful; I loved the color contrast between the food and the white bowl.

After taking a few photos, it was time to dig in. I started by tasting a piece of gnocchi on its own, it was perfectly cooked with a delicate flavour. Then, I tried a bit of everything together, and it was delicious.

The portion size was just right for a lunch that would keep me full while I explored. If you’re a gnocchi fan and ever stop here, I highly recommend you try this dish and let me know what you think!
