And there’s more…

I will start this post by saying if it wasn’t for my two amazing friends who have helped me this far, I would probably still be trying to figure out many many things.
One significant issue I encountered in my previous post, as I mentioned, was that the kitchen designer appeared to have designed the kitchen too large for the available space. They didn’t provide sufficient materials to complete it nicely, possibly due to inaccurate sizings.
Moreover, they omitted essential elements like skirting, which is typically included in most kitchen packages, I’ve been informed.
Additionally, several items delivered were damaged, necessitating additional expenses to replace them.
Admittedly, I should have inspected them upon receipt, but at that juncture, I was still focused on completing the wiring and other tasks, so it didn’t occur to me to check, assuming they would arrive in good condition.
Reflecting from the outset until now, I can actually see the evolution of a home.
Despite only showcasing an incomplete kitchen, I could perceive the house gradually taking shape at that point in time.

As depicted in the two pictures above, we can observe the progression from the initial state, to the ongoing process, and eventually to the anticipated outcome. My friends possess a keen eye for detail, meticulously cutting materials to size and ensuring precise alignment. Consequently, in the lower pictures, everything appears perfectly aligned.
Although I still need to make minor adjustments to the doors to ensure they are level, this task remains a small detail that can be addressed at any time and is included on my extensive to-do list.

My wonderful friends dedicated long hours, often late into the night, to tackle various plumbing tasks and prepare for the installation of the washer dryer in the front hall cupboard, originally an outdoor storage space. They successfully completed surface cutting, installed the sink, and even fitted LED lights before departing for their holiday. Comparing the current state to the previous photos reveals a remarkable transformation.
During their absence, I had a substantial list of tasks to tackle, one of which was installing door handles. These handles were recommended for their low profile, and nearly invisible design, and they provide an elegant finishing touch to the kitchen.

If you’ve been following the previous steps of my renovation, you’ll know that I relocated the front door to an external wall. Consequently, the outdoor cupboard, previously in disarray, dirty, and in need of a complete overhaul, is now inside my hall. This revamped space is where my washer-dryer is being relocated, creating a separate area in the hall. Hopefully, this will reduce any noise in the living room when I’m watching TV or having guests over while doing laundry.
One recent issue arose when opening the door, leaving very little space underneath the tiles for either tiling over or installing click flooring in that area. Consequently, the next step involved smashing up all the original outdoor tiles, thoroughly cleaning the space, and searching for new, bright tiles.
While I could have easily chosen the same tiles as those in the kitchen for a style match, I opted for bright and warm-colored tiles here due to the limited light in the hall, apart from the surrounding area of the door.
Keep watching to see the kitchen transformation and the hall transformation…and what I do next.
