Cafe Circa (Abernyte) 2024 : Review

Visit & Vibes

It’s been a while since my last visit here, and I truly enjoy exploring antique shops, just in case I come across something special.

Moreover, it’s fascinating to stroll around and admire everything. During my visit today, I also decided to stop for lunch.

The Food

Menu Choice★★★★

Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Ciabatta £12.95
served with dressed salad and lightly salted Crisps

Perusing the menu, I found myself unable to decide, so I settled on the ciabatta, although I suspected I might have had it during my last visit.

Despite my uncertain recollection, I placed the order.

When it arrived, I was pleased to find a generous portion size accompanied by a side of crisps.

With the first bite, the combination of flavours was exceptional, and the ciabatta was toasted to perfection.

It struck the ideal balance between crispiness and softness, providing the perfect texture to complement the other ingredients.

Millionaire Shortbread £3.90

After finishing my ciabatta, I craved something sweet, and the Millionaire Shortbread immediately caught my eye on the menu.

When it arrived, I was pleased with its generous size; the slice boasted layers of biscuit base, caramel, and chocolate. Moving on, upon taking a bite, I found it quite enjoyable.

I felt the caramel could have been a tad sweeter, but overall, the flavours harmonized beautifully.

Despite its ample size, halfway through, I started feeling quite full from the substantial ciabatta.

Nevertheless, my sweet tooth compelled me to finish every last crumb.

Final Thoughts…

Overall, today’s visit was excellent.

The food I had was delicious and satisfying, and I can’t find much to fault.

Perhaps the price of the ciabatta could have been slightly lower, but as I mentioned earlier, the flavour was excellent, and the portion size was generous.
