Tea House on the Loch (Gartcosh, Glasgow) 2022 : Review

The Visit

I love finding new places to drive to and I accidentally came across here when I was looking on Apple Maps…I am glad I found it!

This wee tea house is only a 20 min drive from where I stay and I took a wee drive today to check it out.

The Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea £9.50 per person
from 10am until 4pm

Mature cheddar cheese with pickle, tuna mayonnaise with red onion or honey roast ham with mature cheddar cheese. accompanied by tea or coffee and bite sized cakes with scone with clotted cream and jam.

On arrival this looked very nice, presentation different to what I have had at other places but it still looked very very nice.

I opted for the Cheese and pickles today and this was very nice. The bread was nice and thick and fluffy and the cheese and pickles very fresh.

The cakes were very nice and I enjoyed them with my coffee looking out at the lovely view.

This is the first thing that will hit you when you arrive here the view, and in the summer I am sure the view is amazing! today it was very nice, a little cloudy but still a lovely atmosphere, afternoon tea and view.

My Rating:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Visit Overall

I would call ahead and book as this place is very very popular, and I was lucky they had a free table.

I really enjoyed today’s visit and also the afternoon tea, I will pop back and check it out in the summer.
