Lucky’s Diner (Glasgow) 2026 : Review

Visit & Vibes

I was recently invited to Lucky’s Diner, located on Paisley Road West. Having previewed the menu, I was eager to visit as several dishes immediately caught my eye.

The interior is excellently designed, offering a cozy and modern atmosphere. The diner is versatile, catering to both takeaway customers and those who prefer to dine in.

Double Smashed Angus Beef
2 x 3oz Prime Angus Beef patties smashed on flat griddle, served on a toasted bun with our signature Lucky”s sauce with a hint of mouth-watering spice, melted cheese, caramelized onions, gherkins and lettuce.

The first item I decided to order was a burger. Normally, I opt for chicken, but since it had been a while since I’d had beef, I had to try one tonight. I went with their Angus Double Smash.

I upgraded to a meal, which includes fries and a drink, I’ll break down the pricing and drink options shortly.

When my meal arrived, the burger looked incredible. The aroma was mouth-watering. I’ve always loved smashed burgers; there’s just something about those thin, seared patties that makes for a perfect burger, especially when it’s a double.

From the very first bite, I knew I’d made the right choice. The Angus beef was beautifully seasoned and very juicy. All the flavours combined perfectly, and I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.

If you’re a fan of smashed burgers, you definitely need to check them out, whether you grab a takeaway or sit in to enjoy the atmosphere.

Peri Salt Fries

There are many different ways to order the fries, but I decided to go with the Peri salted version.

When they arrived alongside my Angus Smashburger, I was impressed by the generous portion size. They looked fantastic. The fries were perfectly cooked with a great crispness, and the Peri seasoning was excellent.

It was perfectly balanced; sometimes places only season the top layer, but these were seasoned consistently throughout. Each fry had just the right amount of spice, not too much and not too little. They were incredibly tasty and very moreish.

Aero Milkshake

Along with my burger and fries, I opted for the Aero Mint milkshake. It had been a very long time since I’d had a milkshake, so I thought I’d give one a try and see how they were here.

When it arrived at the table, it looked great and was a very generous size. Taking my first sip, I was pleased to find it was nice and thick. The flavour was spot-on, you could tell exactly what it was instantly, and it was incredibly tasty.

I much prefer a thick milkshake over the thinner, “milky” ones you often get elsewhere. This one was excellent, and I really enjoyed sipping it alongside my meal from start to finish.

Mini Eggs Crunch Cookie Dough
Served with vanilla ice cream

I couldn’t just stop there; I had to check out one of their sweet treats. In the display counter near the window, they had many different options, but one stood out: the cookie dough. I am a massive fan of cookie dough, I could eat it every single day and never get tired of it.

I opted for the Mini Egg Crunch cookie dough. When it arrived, I was impressed by the generous portion; it looked incredible, and I couldn’t wait to dig in.

Taking a large spoonful, I noticed it was loaded with layers of Mini Eggs. As expected, the dough was warm, gooey, and crunchy, absolutely delicious. It was honestly one of the best cookie doughs I’ve ever had. If you’re a fellow cookie dough lover, I highly recommend this.

I enjoyed it from start to finish. If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely be back for more!

Final Thoughts…

Firstly, a big thanks to the team for the invite and for the meal tonight. As you’ve just read, it was a fantastic meal, and I had a great time visiting.

The burger was delicious, I loved the smashed style, the fries were perfectly seasoned, and the thick milkshake was excellent. It definitely ticked all the boxes tonight!

As I mentioned, you can pop in to order a takeaway, order online, or grab a seat and enjoy your meal right there at the diner.

Have you visited or ordered from here yet? If so, what did you get and what were your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!
