The Walk
I haven’t been out in the hills or the Munros for a while because I’ve been focusing on renovating my house, which is hopefully nearing completion. However, a friend wanted to go for a hike, and since I hadn’t been out much either, I agreed. We set a date and went for a visit.

When we arrived, there was a car park with plenty of space for many cars. The best part was that the parking was free, which is always a nice surprise. Often, when you visit places like the Munros, the parking machines only accept cards, and the signal in those areas is usually poor. So, finding free parking was a pleasant surprise.
After leaving the car park, we followed a path that led all the way to the top, which was great. If you’re unsure about trying this hike, don’t worry—the path is clear and easy to follow the entire way.

The start of the walk was pleasant, and we were lucky to have a nice day. Along the way, we saw some sheep and cows—just remember not to disturb them and let them go about their business.
We didn’t stop and decided to push straight to the top, which worked out well. The weather was perfect for us, and we reached the summit fairly quickly. The view from the top was amazing! We took all the photos we wanted, but soon after, clouds rolled in. Unsure if they would bring rain or affect visibility, we decided to head back down.

The views on the way down were just as good, especially when the clouds parted and the sun came out again. We followed the same path and completed the hike in one hour and 55 minutes, which was pretty good.
One thing to note: the path up is easy to follow, but once you get near the top, there is some loose rubble—both small and large—so watch your footing. Also, make sure to bring enough water, snacks, etc., and enjoy the hike!

Overall, it was a great walk, and I was really happy to be out in the open again. I was pleasantly surprised that my fitness level was still good! If this hike has been on your list and you’ve been unsure about it, I hope this makes you feel more confident. It’s doable, and you can go at your own pace. Enjoy the views, take breaks, grab a snack, and just take it easy—there’s no need to rush.
I hope you liked my photos! If you try this hike, let me know what you think in the comments. And if you’re planning to tackle it, let me know once you’ve completed it. As I said, enjoy the walk!
