The Visit
It was my father’s birthday recently, and one of his favorite restaurants is Bella Vita. We knew he had been talking about having an Italian meal, so we decided to book a table there for his birthday.
Inside, as always, it was very busy, but the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was great to see them again.

The Food
As usual, the team spoiled us with a complimentary platter. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the polo frito was especially good. If you’ve never tried it here, I highly recommend it.

This was a really nice start to the evening, especially since it was for a birthday celebration.
The Food
Spaghetti Carbona £12.50
pan-seared diced smoked bacon & onions, finished with double cream, parmesan, black pepper & parsley

After enjoying the platter, I decided to skip a starter and go straight to the main course. Initially, I was planning to have a pizza, but then I remembered I hadn’t had the carbonara here in a while. I’ve been trying different dishes lately, so I thought I’d go back to it this time. I asked them to prepare it in the traditional Italian style, without cream.
When it arrived, the aroma was incredible, and the presentation was very appealing. I couldn’t wait to dig in and enjoy it again.
From the first bite to the last, it was amazing. It’s one of the best spaghetti carbonaras I’ve had anywhere in Glasgow, and probably the best I’ve had so far in the UK. It’s perfect, and if you enjoy a really good Italian carbonara, you need to try it here. It’s absolutely delicious and highly recommended.

Ice-cream

After a fantastic meal, it was time to think about what sweet treat I could end the night with, and I decided to go for their ice cream. When it arrived, the presentation was nice, but the ice cream here is always a winner for me.
Tonight was no exception. The flavours were excellent, the texture was lovely and creamy, and it was the perfect way to end a fantastic meal. Be sure to try their ice cream if you visit.

Final Thoughts…
Overall, tonight was fantastic, as always, and my father really enjoyed his meal and everything else. A big thanks to the staff for the excellent service, as always, and compliments to the chef. The food was amazing.
I’m a very honest person and quite critical, but this has been one of my favorite Italian restaurants for a while now. I highly recommend you check it out if you’re looking for a new Italian place. I’m sure it could easily become your next favourite Italian restaurant.
