Visit & Vibes

I do like a wee afternoon tea, and love finding new places that do them.

Today I fancied another wee drive to somewhere random, and here came up on my radar so I took a wee drive to check them out and their afternoon tea.

Afternoon Tea you do need to book so call ahead, I was told on entering I would have up to an hour’s wait which I didn’t mind so call ahead so it’s ready for you.

Allan Park serves traditional afternoon tea from Monday to Sunday 12-5pm

The Food

Afternoon Tea for 2
A selection of hand-cut sandwiches, homemade scones with jam and cream, fancies and your choice of cake.

Looking around this place was really nice inside, I didn’t get any photos as it was too busy and I am not a fan of taking photos with loads of people in them.

While waiting we were brought a wee cup of soup, which I thought was a very nice touch.

The soup was a creamy mushroom soup and I am not a big soup fan but I could have easily had more of this it was very tasty!

Now on to the afternoon tea…

On arrival, this looked ok and had a nice selection of cakes.

Time to taste…

Sandwiches were very fresh, there was egg mayo, salmon, and tomato and cheese. All were very tasty and as I said fresh.

The scones, there was only one each which to be honest is ok as there were a lot of cakes but where they did fall down is you only got butter and jam….no cream!

The scones were very nice and had a nice warmth to them, you got one plain scone and one with currents through it.

At this point is when we were asked if we wanted tea or coffee, which for me is fine as I don’t normally start my coffee till the cakes.

Luckily a spoon was brought with the coffee as I needed one for my creme brulee.

Final Thoughts…

Overall this was a very nice afternoon tea and very good value for money, and everything was very tasty.
