Visit & Vibes

Todays visit was for a works Christmas lunch.

I was here at a previous work’s lunch a few years back, so I was looking forward to checking here out again.

The Food

I thought at today’s visit I would just randomly pick something and see what it’s like and I did just that.

Daal Cake £5.95
Spiced daal & mashed potato cakes in bread crumbs served with yoghurt & tamarind sauce dressing.

I think I had this last time but it was a few years and it was the main starter that stood out for me, so I had to order it.

For some reason I had in my mind it would arrive looking a lot more flat and circular, kind of like a fish cake and then arrived and wow this was an interesting presentation.

This was a very interesting and nice presentation.

The aroma from this was very nice and it was time to taste it.

Wow, this was mega tasty, I got a lovely texture and flavour followed by a wee kick then the tamarind sauce just added that extra mmm to it all.

I am so glad I ordered this today as it was mega tasty and the kick was just perfect for me.

Chicken Tikka Masala £14.95
Cream dish with ground almonds

I wanted to have a nice chicken curry today, and this one jumped out at me.

On arrival, this looked very nice and had a very nice aroma.

This was as it said lovely and creamy and had a nice flavour to it, the chicken was perfectly cooked and very tender and packed with flavour too.

I did try someone’s korma and I have to say this was much nicer than the korma which I was very surprised at as normally I am a big korma fan.

Overall a very nice curry and a nice wee choice today.

Final Thoughts…

Overall today was very nice and we all had a lovely time and a lovely meal.

I really liked the Daal Cake so when I return I will probably have this again as my starter.
