The Bull (Great Western Road, Glasgow) 2021 : Review

The Visit

I was asked to pop along to The Bull, for some brunch and cocktails…which had to be mocktails as I was driving. I added to my calendar and visited with my friend.

While I was having my brunch something familiar hit me about this place, and then it clicked…it used to be Munro’s as I came here ages ago on a date.

They have changed the interior and its very very nice, much better in my opinion.

The Brunch

Weekend brunch £25 per head (every Saturday and Sunday)

This looked very nice, and to be honest there was too many nice sounding options on the menu it was difficult to pick something.

After ordering I popped up to the buffet (there was LOADS more than what I am showing in the above 3 pics)

This was eye candy, and everything looked good. I decided to be a good boy and go for a croissant and some meats and cheese. This was very fresh, and wasn’t too much to fill me up…which was good as I wanted to enjoy my main dish.

I opted for the following

Chargrilled Sourdough, Smashed avocado, feta, poached egg

Firstly on arrival how good does this look, it was instant eye candy.

I had to take a bit of everything, so that way it would be the prefect bite.

WOW! everything worked very well together. You first get the sourdough flavour followed instantly by the feta and then egg and they all just combine to be a great moreish flavour.

No lie, every bite was the same so good and packed with flavour.

I highly recommend this dish if you visit.

Mocktail

I was the designated driver today, so rather than a cocktail….I had to opt for a mocktail.

I asked for a sweet and fruity mocktail, and this is what they made. I cant comment on its name, or its cost but if you show them the photo i am sure they will be able to make it for you.

It was so tasty I had 3

Overall :

Firstly a massive thanks to the guys at The Bull for my invite, I had a fantastic time and really enjoyed my brunch.

I cant fault anything today, the staff all very friendly and helpful, the food packed with flavour and very very moreish….and the value for money if you come and visit is great.

The buffet is loaded and you are sure to leave after your meal feeling full and happy.

I am adding here to my top places to visit page.
