I have passed Usha’s many times when walking around Byres Road, and always thought I need to stop in here and check it out.

From the outside it looked very nice inside, and always when I have looked its been busy.

Finally got round to checking it out….

We were welcomed and shown to our little booth, which was situated near the window so I had a good view of outside and the people passing.

Inside has a very nice relaxed feeling, and there is some Indian music playing in the background and like always I knew a few songs which was nice.

The Food…

PANEER PAKORA £4.25
HOME MADE PANEER INFUSED WITH A TAMARIND AND MINT CHUTNEY, DIPPED IN OUR GRAM FLOUR BATTER AND FRIED

I have never tried this done this way, normally I would have Saag Paneer so this was going to be interesting.

It was OK, there wasn’t much flavour, using the added sauce this helped a lot.

I wouldn’t get this again, but I am glad I tried it to see what it was like.

Main Course

MADE WITH POTATOES, CAULIFLOWER AND INDIAN SPICES

I have had this before at Chaakoo Bombay Cafe long ago, and I loved it and its flavour so I thought I would have it here and see what is like.

For me the flavours were nice, but the cauliflower could have been chopped up a little more rather than one piece….this could me being a little too fussy?

Overall it was nice, but not as nice as the one I had in Chaakoo Bombay Cafe, I would try something else next time

This was perfect!!! it had the perfect amount of coconut and sweet taste to it!!!!

Overall

Overall my first visit was a nice mixed visit.

I half enjoyed the food tonight, and the service was good but for me inside I found the atmosphere a little lacking….but that could just be me or tonights experience.
