I had the pleasure of attending The Segun Aniyi Experience for the official launch of his new EP, All In. Held at the vibrant Tartan Thistle Bar and Kitchen, the evening celebrated the release of the E.P., which officially dropped on 20/11/25. The event doubled as an intimate listening party, giving everyone a chance to hear the project in the way it was meant to be experienced.

Segun Aniyi, an Edinburgh-based Afrobeat/RnB artist, has been steadily building his sound, and this new project showcases just how far he has come. The All In E.P. Offers a refined blend of Afrobeat rhythms and smooth RnB melodies, highlighting his growth not only as a vocalist but also as a talented producer.

To start the night, we were treated to a mini buffet of tasters, featuring a range of delicious bites that were packed with flavour. Each dish was beautifully seasoned and, although small, they definitely filled a needed space and set the tone perfectly for the evening ahead.

As we ate, a DJ kept the atmosphere lively with a great mix, providing the perfect soundtrack for mingling and relaxing before the main programme began. The vibe was relaxed yet energetic, creating a great environment to enjoy both the food and the company.

One of the standout moments was the live Q&A with Segun. Hearing him talk through his creative process, influences, and the story behind All In was genuinely fascinating. It gave us a deeper insight into the project and the personal growth behind it.

After the Q&A, Segun treated us to several live performances. Hearing the tracks from the E.P. In such an intimate setting, really brought the music to life and showcased his vocal ability and stage presence.

Final Thoughts…

Overall, I’m really glad I went. Not only was it a fantastic and well-organised night, but it also introduced me to a new artist and a style of music I hadn’t explored before. I love discovering fresh music, and I enjoyed the evening so much that I downloaded Segun’s EP straight onto my phone, ready to soundtrack my next drive.

A brilliant night with great vibes, tasty food, and incredible music. What more could you ask for?
