Bella Vita (Mosspark, Glasgow) 2025 : Review

Visit & Vibes

You’ve probably noticed that my posts have slowed down a little over the past month or two. That’s mostly because I’ve been watching my money, and with the good weather we’ve had, I’ve been spending more time working on my garden. But tonight was a welcome break from staying in—because it was my dad’s birthday, and we booked Bella Vita for a birthday dinner.

This place is easily one of my favourite Italian restaurants. From the moment you walk through the door, the staff are warm and welcoming—it honestly feels like catching up with old friends. They always make you feel right at home, which sets the tone for a great evening.

True to form, the team spoiled us with a few dishes before we even ordered. The meatballs were outstanding—packed with flavour—and everything they brought to the table had that extra something special. It’s such a thoughtful gesture, and it’s one of the reasons dining here feels so relaxed and homely.

The Food

CALZONE PROSCIUTTO £14.50
Folded Margherita pizza with cooked ham & mascarpone cheese, served with a lightly dressed salad.

When it came time to order, I knew exactly what I wanted: pizza. More specifically, the calzone. I’ve had it before, but not for a long time, so tonight felt like the perfect moment to revisit it.

When it arrived, the presentation was spot on. I couldn’t wait to cut into it, and that first bite instantly reminded me why I love it so much. Perfectly cooked, rich in flavour, gooey cheese, and that balance of textures that makes a calzone so satisfying. It really hit the spot. If you’re a pizza fan and find yourself at Bella Vita, you have to try it—you won’t be disappointed.

Final Thoughts…

All in all, it was a wonderful evening. My dad really enjoyed his meal, and we all left happy after yet another fantastic dinner here. It had been a while since our last visit—life and budgeting have kept me busy with the house and garden—but coming back reminded me exactly why Bella Vita remains one of my top Italian spots. If you love Italian food, you need to check it out. Trust me, you’ll walk away smiling.
