I was heading down to Leeds for the day to see Billy Ocean in concert. Since I was only there for a short visit and planned to return right after the show, I took some time beforehand to explore the shops—and of course, I needed to find somewhere for dinner.

That’s when I came across this place.

Crispy Salt and Pepper Squid £13

For my starter, I chose the crispy salt and pepper squid—and I have to say, the presentation was one of the nicest I’ve seen for this dish.

The aroma alone was amazing, and I couldn’t wait to dig in.

The batter was absolutely perfect—it had a lovely crispness without being too crunchy, and the squid itself was cooked to perfection. The overall flavour was fantastic. This dish was incredibly moreish, and I’m really glad I chose it.

If you’re ever in the area or staying nearby and haven’t tried this before, I highly recommend giving it a go!

Crispy Kung Po Chicken £18

For my main dish, I went with the crispy Kung Po chicken—and once again, the presentation was absolutely one of the best I’ve seen for this dish. The aroma was also incredibly enticing.

I had it with egg fried rice on the side, which was really tasty. Taking a bite of the Kung Po chicken, I was immediately impressed—the batter was, just like my starter, perfectly done with a lovely crispness, and the chicken was cooked beautifully. The overall flavour of the dish was outstanding, and I genuinely enjoyed every bite from start to finish.

This is definitely a dish I’d happily order again if I’m ever back in the area visiting this restaurant.

Final Thoughts…

Overall, I’m really glad I decided to check this place out. As I mentioned earlier, the venue itself is absolutely stunning, and the service was excellent. Both my starter and main were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavour.

My only minor issue would be the prices—they are slightly on the higher side. However, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and in this case, the overall experience made it worth it.

Aside from the pricing, I really can’t fault anything about tonight.
