Visit & Vibes

Today was another spontaneous discovery. I hadn’t heard of this place before, and I didn’t read any reviews beforehand. I simply decided to take a drive and check it out.

Upon arrival, the place immediately impressed me with its charming exterior, as you can see from the photo at the top of this review. It features both an outdoor seating area and an indoor space. Inside, there’s also a delightful little farm shop filled with a variety of goodies to purchase. Outside, there’s a small shop offering antique-style garden items, which is worth a visit if that’s something you’re interested in.

Polenta fries £4.95

Since it was lunchtime, I decided not to order anything too heavy, but I did opt for a side of polenta fries.

I hadn’t had polenta fries in a long time, and they used to be one of my favourites when done right, so I was eager to see and taste how they were prepared here. As you can see, the portion size was generous, and it came with a side of chipotle mayonnaise.

The first bite was absolutely delicious. The fries had a lovely crispiness on the outside, and biting into them gave a satisfying crunch, followed by the rich flavour of the polenta. They were so good and incredibly addictive. I almost wished I had ordered a second portion, but I didn’t want to overindulge. Dipping these amazing fries in the chipotle mayo added another layer of incredible flavour to the experience. As I mentioned, they were extremely addictive.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed these fries, and if I visit this place again, I’ll definitely be ordering them. If you’ve never been here and are wondering what to try, I highly recommend these. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Sliced chicken breast with chipotle mayonnaise and avocado

The main course of my lunch was the chipotle chicken sandwich. It sounded promising, and I was eager to see how it would turn out.

When the sandwich arrived, I was pleased with the generous portion size and the attractive presentation.

Taking my first bite, I immediately tasted the flavorful chicken breast, but only a subtle hint of the mayonnaise and avocado came through. Personally, I think the sandwich could have benefited from a bit more mayo, which would have enhanced the overall flavour. While the sandwich was a little dry, it was still very tasty. I would definitely consider trying something different next time. As I mentioned, there was nothing wrong with the sandwich—it was delicious—but it was just a bit too dry for my taste, so I’m interested in exploring other options on the menu.

Final Thoughts…

Overall, today’s visit was very enjoyable. I felt relaxed, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were both friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, with the polenta fries being the standout dish. As I mentioned, I could have easily had them again and again. On my next visit, I plan to try something different.

After my meal, I explored the little shop inside and the antique garden shop outside before heading home.
