With the flooring installed, we can now proceed with the rest of the kitchen. This involves attaching the back side of the breakfast bar and adding all the finishing touches, including the splashback. The next step was to work on the breakfast bar backing and begin installing the skirting. It promised to be an enjoyable task.
In collaboration with my friends, though I must admit they did most of the work, we managed to complete all the skirting in the living room and hall, as well as installing the back side of the breakfast bar and the splashback. As you can see, the results are impressive, and they did an excellent job.

My next task was to start considering what to do with the bathroom in terms of layout and ideas.
However, while doing that, I also wanted to begin working on the bedroom. This way, I could place an order for the wardrobe and ensure that the small alcove area is fully prepped and ready for its installation.

There have been numerous small challenges leading up to the current state of the kitchen renovation, ranging from minor plumbing issues, easily resolved, to wiring complexities inherent in this house, which were also promptly addressed. Additionally, purchasing and installing a charming wooden blind in the living room provided a satisfying finishing touch.

Moving forward, I will continue with my ongoing tasks. I’ve recently ordered a sofa, so stay tuned for updates in the next post.
