Visit & Vibes
Another visit to Overton Farm led me down an unexpected culinary journey as I veered away from my usual choices and opted for the French toast.

The Food
French Toast £6.50
Served with bacon and maple syrup

As I took my first bite, the fusion of textures and flavors was evident—soft and slightly crisp toast with a hint of sweetness from the sauce.
The star of the dish, however, was the bacon. Each bite offered an explosion of smoky goodness that perfectly complemented the sweetness of the French toast. The combination of crispy bacon and soft bread was a match made in culinary heaven, creating a lovely flavour.
A minor quibble surfaced when I realized that the bacon serving was a bit conservative for the two slices of bread. An additional slice or two would have further balanced the textures and flavors, providing a more satisfying experience….but thats just a personal thing.
Nonetheless, I found myself savoring each bite, ultimately finishing the dish with a sense of contentment. Stepping outside my comfort zone was rewarded with a lunch that was both different and delightful.
Overton Farm’s French toast, with its unique combination of flavors, is an option I’d recommend exploring. While a minor tweak could elevate its appeal, this dish undoubtedly embodies the spirit of culinary adventure.
