It has been ages since I last went to a TGI’s and had a proper meal, and tonight I did that as after the mean I was heading to see a film.
Inside is your standard TGI decor which brought back a lot of memories from my previous visits.

The Food
I knew exactly what I wanted as my starter as it’s been ages since I last had it, and loved it and wanted to see if it was still just as good.
MEATLESS FRIDAYS® SESAME STRIPS £8.50
Tossed in our Fridays® Legendary Glaze, topped with toasted sesame seeds and chilli flakes. A Fridays® favourite made with Meatless Farm plant-based chicken
On arrival, these looked as good as I remembered and smelled just as good.
I couldn’t wait to dig in.
Mmm so so good! The chicken was cooked perfectly and was mega tender, the coating was sweet, and sticky and worked really well with the chicken.
Dippping it in the sauce just took it to another level of yummy!
This was so so good and I am so glad I had it again.

I had to have a burger at today’s visit and from what I read they all sounded very good.
I opted for this one and on arrival, this looked good and had an ok aroma.
I tried the fries first and they were perfectly cooked and for my taste didn’t require any extra salting.
I then took a big bite of the burger and instantly I thought just ok.
Flavour wise was just ok, the patty was nicely cooked and juicy but flavour-wise it was just ok.

I was very tempted by this as I love anything “cookie” and I needed something sweet to end my meal with.
On arrival, this looked nice and had an ok aroma.
I took a bite and was instantly disappointed, it wasn’t really sweet, it also had a slightly burnt taste to it like it was slightly overcooked.

Final Thoughts…
Overall tonight started off good then slowly went downhill, starter was really good, the burger was nice but the dessert was terrible.
Overall it was just so so and when I do return again I will try something else.
