Visit & Vibes

I have visited here before and had a nice time, so today I thought let’s take a random drive back and check them out again.

Today’s weather wasn’t great so the views I knew wouldn’t be great, but I wanted to come and try the afternoon tea again and see how it is now.

I didn’t book but they did make one for me, maybe if you fancy one book ahead to give them notice in case they are very busy.

The Food

The last one I got here was the £9.50pp one so today I thought I would try the £11.95pp one.

Afternoon Tea £11.95pp
Any sandwich of your choice, any regular hot or cold drink from our menu, cakes, scone with clotted cream and jam

On arrival this looked very similar to the last time, the main difference is the cakes were bigger slices.

I started with the sandwiches and I choose for today the cheddar and pickles as I haven’t had that in a while. These were just like the last time, fresh, tasty, and very good.

Next the scones, yeah if you are with someone you only get one scone each but the cakes are big so that will help fill you up. The scones were very very nice, and with the cream and jam…perfect! bonus point as it was clotted cream!

Now for the sweet treats…the cakes.

You got one brownie and one cinnamon cake today, so I started with the cinnamon cake.

This was MEGA nice! it was moist, creamy, and had a lovely and subtle cinnamon flavor to it.

Final Thoughts…

Overall this is really good value for money, the presentation for me was just ok as I think that’s probably the only area it lacks in as it’s served on what’s basically a cake display stand.

Where I was seated was out in the porch area, so when I wanted to get someone’s attention it was a little difficult but the staff are all lovely and extremely helpful.
