The Drovers Inn (Inverarnan) 2026 : Review

Visit & Vibes

Today I decided it was time to bag another two Munros. This one was very different from the previous ones I’ve done, as the start was more forest-like. After six hours and 38 minutes, I completed another two peaks and built up a good appetite, so it was high time to grab some lunch.

I was only about a 14-minute drive away from the Drovers Inn, so that was the perfect option. I had been here before and had the burger, which was just okay, so I wanted to try something different on this visit.

The Food

Menu Choice★★★★★

Haggis, Neeps & Tatties £14.50
Scotland’s national dish done properly, with creamy mash, buttered neeps and a whisky peppercorn sauce.

When my food arrived, the presentation was only okay, but the aroma was really good, and I couldn’t wait to dig in as I was extremely hungry.

With this type of dish, you have to combine all the elements together to get the best bite, and I made sure I got all three plus some of the sauce, it was very good.

The haggis was really tasty, and the haggis with the sauce was absolutely delicious.

Everything else was nice, but those two elements were the best part. I finished everything and definitely filled that much-needed hunger gap!

Final Thoughts…

Overall, today’s visit was great.

My dinner was delicious and definitely hit the spot!

While eating, I noticed a few people ordering the fish and chips, it looked huge, so that’s definitely what I’m getting next time.
