“SCRAN” WE ALREADY KNOW & LOVE!

A much beloved part of the Glasgow brunch café scene for the past eight years, Scran+ Roadie, run by Chris Mears, at Saltmarket in Glasgow, has been chosen to provide the in-house restaurant at a fantastic new family attraction coming to Frasers Plus Braehead Shopping Centre next month.

SuperPark Glasgow is a 30,000 ft² movement based, multi activity, multi -generational, indoor park, packed with body powered games.

The park, part of a global indoor leisure and recreation concept founded in Finland in 2012, once again confirmed as the “happiest country in the world”, announced last year that it had chosen Glasgow as its first UK location.

The Scran + Roadie within SuperPark Glasgow will be Chris’ second venue. And what a venue it will be, with capacity to seat 80 people, its own Bakery, and with an impressive mezzanine floor overlooking the restaurant and offering expansive views across the Clyde!

Entitled “SuperPark SuperHeroes”, the children’s menu at Scran+ Roadie SuperPark Glasgow is jam packed with food that children love, made from scratch with quality ingredients.  Freshly prepared pancakes, fruit, yoghurt and homemade granola provide brunch options, whilst pizza slices and chicken tenders are on offer for more filling meals. Super healthy Blueberry Slushies, packed with antioxidants, will provide the signature purple colour of SuperPark – whilst giving a delicious taste of Finland.

For the grown-ups, all their favourites from the Saltmarket Brunch Café will feature here, with Eggs Stornoway, shawarma wraps, and New York style pizzas.

Freshly baked cakes and sourdough bread will be baked in-house by the Qurious Baker, with the restaurant having its own signature coffee courtesy of The Roasting Project.

“What an opportunity for us to provide the food & drink offering at this incredible new SuperPark which Glasgow is fortunate to be getting before any other city in the UK,” said Chris Mears. “We’d like to thank all our existing loyal customers in Glasgow for helping us build the Scran+ Roadie brand which has created its own distinctive style over the past eight years. We give you dishes that you know and love. We’re putting all of this, and more, into this new second venue. Too often cafes in family visitor attractions fall short of expectations. This won’t happen here. Enjoying the food in the café is an important part of the overall SuperPark experience. We can’t wait to deliver this venue, and find out what Glaswegian families think of our SuperHeroes Menu, it’s going to be amazing.”

“If you are celebrating a special occasion, or coming to SuperPark Glasgow in a larger group, we will be offering our popular Party Platters, just as we do at our Saltmarket Cafe,” finished Chris.

Commenting on Scran + Roadie coming to SuperPark Glasgow, Jonathan Doherty, Managing Director of SuperPark Glasgow, said: “Scran+ Roadie is the ideal partner to provide a quality dining experience at SuperPark Glasgow. It’s a brand that has a fantastic reputation for value for money, for quality, and, as Chris says, for providing food that everybody enjoys.”

“This new restaurant will be a beautiful space where you can refresh and refuel after all the fun of SuperPark.”

SuperPark Glasgow’s website is now live at: www.superpark.uk

The Park will open to the public on 29th August 2026.

Ticket sales and bookings will go live from August 10th onwards.
