I am a massive fan of farm shops and always love coming across a new one. They consistently offer high-quality produce, and by shopping there, you are supporting local businesses, or even other nearby suppliers if they are stocking goods from the surrounding area. Plus, you often stumble upon a hidden gem; it might be a unique food item or a special product for your home that you wouldn’t find anywhere else. Because of this, it is always a thrill to find a great one.

I was recently invited to check this particular shop out, and I am so happy I did. I had never heard of it before, but it has quickly become one of my favorite farm shops, and I will definitely be visiting again.

Inside, they sell a wide variety of goods. You have the food section where you can buy various meats, jars filled with wonderful things like jams, a selection of drinks, fresh fruit and vegetables, and much more. There is also a second section of the shop that offers a diverse range of items, including scented candles, greeting cards, handbags, and plenty of other treasures.

The shop is very well-laid-out and spacious; you would need to walk around it three or four times just to make sure you didn’t miss anything. There are so many unique items here that even if you go in intending to buy only one thing, you will likely leave with much more.

After browsing the shop, it was time to pop in for some lunch. The dining area is just as spacious as the main shop, and there is also a massive outdoor seating area. If the weather is nice, I highly recommend sitting outside to enjoy the amazing views. Today, I was seated inside by the window, so I had a lovely view of both the scenery and the interior.

The menu was excellent and, I have to say, very reasonably priced for a farm shop. So many items caught my eye, but I couldn’t resist the lamb burger. I don’t have lamb very often, it’s usually beef, so I was really looking forward to trying it.

When the meal arrived, the burger looked fantastic and came with a generous portion of fries. It smelled delicious, so after taking a few photos, I was ready to dig in.

I started with the fries. They were lovely and crispy; skinny fries are my favorite, and these were cooked to perfection.

Next, it was time for the burger. I took a massive bite, making sure to get a bit of everything, and it was amazing. The lamb patty was perfectly cooked, very juicy, and had a wonderful flavor, especially with the addition of mint. It was incredibly tasty, and the chutney rounded everything off perfectly. Every bite was delicious from start to finish.

This was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Because it was lamb, it felt like a nice change of pace. I am already planning my next visit, and while I’d love to have this burger again, I definitely need to try a few other things from the menu.

Final Thoughts…

Firstly, a massive thanks to the team here for the invite. I am so glad I learned about this place today, as it is definitely going to become one of my go-to farm shops. The staff were friendly throughout, the service was amazing, and the overall experience was fantastic from start to finish. Some of the unique items they had for sale, both in the food section and the main shop, sounded absolutely wonderful, and I am already planning to save up to pick up a few things on my return visit.

This place also has a second building that sells designer household items, which I highly recommend you check out before heading back to your car, as it is right on the way out. Everything looked so beautiful, and I saw many things that would have fit perfectly in my home. I am on a bit of a budget right now, but I now know exactly where to return when I am looking for something special for the house, as you can see from the photos below.

Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with great food and a wonderful farm shop experience. I am adding this to my “Top Restaurants” page because that burger was truly amazing. If you are a farm shop lover like me, you absolutely have to check this place out. I think your first visit definitely won’t be your last; I highly recommend it!
