I couldn’t come back to Italy without having spaghetti carbonara, so I decided to head back to the main square. Even though the service at that other restaurant was a bit slow because they were busy, I wasn’t in a rush. I wanted to check out another spot right on the square to enjoy the same atmosphere and see if they served carbonara.

I found a place here and managed to get a table. It was a busy night, but I really loved just sitting back and soaking in the atmosphere.

The Food

SPAGHETTI CARBONARA €12,00

When it arrived, the presentation was great and the portion size looked fine. By the end of the meal, though, I was completely full, so I realized the portion size was actually really good!

Taking my first bite, I knew it was amazing. A truly classic, perfectly cooked Italian spaghetti carbonara with fantastic flavours. I loved every single bite, though it’s a bit sad to admit it was 100% better than the one I make at home.

I’m so glad I tried this, and as I said, I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Combined with the atmosphere, it made for a really great evening.

Once again, the place was very busy. Service lagged a bit at times because of the crowds, but that wouldn’t stop me from coming back here, especially for another plate of spaghetti carbonara!

AMERICANO COCKTAIL €7,00

Along with my spaghetti carbonara, I decided to try another cocktail, this time, an Americano. I had no idea what it was, I just ordered it!

As for the review: it was just okay. Since I usually prefer sweet cocktails, this was a bit bitter for me, though it actually paired surprisingly well with the carbonara. It’s probably not one I’d order again simply because I lean toward sweeter drinks, but it was fun to try!

Overall Assessment

I had a really nice evening with an amazing spaghetti carbonara, and I loved sitting there just taking in the atmosphere of Verona. As I mentioned, the service was a little bit slow, but they were very busy. The staff were very pleasant, though, and I would definitely come back for another carbonara.

Option 2: Polished & Refined (Best for a travel journal or review)

I had a wonderful evening complete with an amazing plate of spaghetti carbonara, and I truly enjoyed soaking in the atmosphere of Verona. True to form, the service was a bit slow due to the rush, but the staff were lovely. I would definitely return, especially for another carbonara.
