Rediscovering the Joy of Podcasts

It’s funny how our consumption habits change, isn’t it?

I remember getting into podcasts ages ago, way back when you actually had to plug an iPod into a computer to sync episodes. Back then, I was hooked on the format, listening to everything I could get my hands on. But, somewhere along the way, life got busy, things changed, and I drifted into a long-standing “music only” phase. I convinced myself I didn’t have the attention span for long-form talking anymore.

Well, that phase has officially ended. I’ve found my way back to the world of podcasting, and I’m honestly loving it more than ever. There is something uniquely intimate about the medium; it’s like catching up with friends or sitting in on the most interesting conversations of the week. After diving deep back into the archives and discovering some fresh favorites, I wanted to share what’s currently occupying my ears.

Here is what’s on my playlist right now:

What I Am Listening To :

Apple Blitz XL: A fantastic deep dive into all things Apple, perfect for staying up to date with the ecosystem.
Bad Chat with Gregg James and Alice Levine: Exactly what it says on the tin, hilarious, unfiltered, and chaotic conversations between two brilliant presenters.

Capital Breakfast After The Show: A great way to get those “behind the scenes” vibes that you don’t get during the standard broadcast.

Diggnation (Rebooted): Pure nostalgia mixed with modern tech commentary; it brings back that classic internet culture energy.

Hanging out with Ant and Dec: Just as relaxed and funny as you’d expect from the duo, making you feel like you’re actually just hanging out with them.

Help I Sexted My Boss: The ultimate blend of relatable advice, social etiquette disasters, and absolute hilarity. It’s a modern classic.

Radio 1’s All Day Breakfast with Greg James: Because who doesn’t want more of Greg’s chaotic, joyful energy to power through the workday?

Smoosh Reads Reddit Stories: The perfect bite-sized listening for when you just want to hear the most absurd, funny, or dramatic stories the internet has to offer.

The Luxury Podcast: A bit of escapism. It’s sophisticated, interesting, and covers the finer things in life in a really engaging way.

This Week In Tech: The gold standard for tech news. Leo Laporte and the panel provide such deep, expert analysis on the ever-changing digital landscape.

Macbreak Weekly: Focused specifically on the Apple world, this is essential listening for anyone who wants to know exactly what’s happening in Cupertino.

It feels great to be back in the podcast loop.

There is so much incredible content being produced right now, and I’m already finding it hard to choose what to listen to first each morning. Whether it’s tech news or just mindless banter, my commute has never been better.

What are you listening to lately? Let me know, I’m always looking for new recommendations!

I use Apple Podcasts app, but if you use something better I would love to hear from you.
