Bridge of Orchy Bar & Restaurant (Bridge of Orchy) 2026: Review

Visit & Vibes

After tackling two Munros, bagging my 12th and 13th, and building up an appetite during my 5.5-hour hike, it was time to grab some lunch. Since I was near the Bridge of Orchy Hotel, I popped into their bar and restaurant area for a much-needed meal.

The Food

Menu Choice★★★★★

Schiehallion beer battered haddock £19.00
with garden peas, tartar sauce and hand cut chips

Looking at the menu, several items jumped out at me, but I ultimately decided to try their fish and chips.

When it arrived, I was impressed by the generous portion size. The fish was huge, accompanied by a mountain of chunky chips, as you can see from my photos.

I started with the chips; although I’m usually a fan of skinny fries, these were excellent. They were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, and full of flavour.

Next up was the fish. Flaking open beautifully under the fork, the batter stayed wonderfully light and crispy. The fish itself was fresh and flavourful, and pairing it with the tangy tartar sauce complimented the dish perfectly.

I am so glad I tried this today rather than getting my usual burger and chips and would highly recommend this if you visit here.

Final Thoughts…

Having been here once before, I can safely say this visit was just as impressive.

The staff were friendly, the service was prompt, and the fish and chips were fantastic. If you are ever in the area or just passing by, make sure to pop in and check them out.
