With the news that popular Latin American restaurant, El Santo, in Glasgow’s Merchant City, has teamed up with Deliveroo, Glaswegians can now look forward to enjoying this most flavoursome of food at home, particularly over lunchtime, with a range of special deals on offer.
“We’re very excited to announce it that we’ve teamed up with Deliveroo to bring a taste of Latin America to many more of the City’s spice loving residents,” said Ester Morales, Marketing Manager for El Santo.
“You can order through the app Tuesday to Friday, 12pm to 9pm.”
Ester went on to explain that El Santo was focusing on dishes that are suitable for sharing, or are quick and tasty options for busy people who still want to eat well when the lunchtime stomach rumbles hit!
“We are confident that El Santo on Deliveroo will soon become a much-used option to bring hot and tasty Latin American food to your door,” she said. “Two highlights on the current Deliveroo profile are the BBQ Bowl, which guests can order all day on the app, whereas in the restaurant it is available at lunchtime only, and our artisanal ciabatta sandwiches, filled with 12-hour braised beef and finished with our creamy, slightly spicy avocado mayo and house-made chimichurri. We have also added prime beef cuts, such as the Brazilian picanha, for only £25.00, it’s incredible value.”
“Our prices are affordable, and we have something for everybody. These are tried and tested dishes which are existing customer base love,” said Ester.
“Bringing El Santo to the door is also fantastic for workplace corporate options as we approach Christmas. We’re looking forward to developing a strong relationship with the Deliveroo delivery drivers too.”
Ester finished by saying that she very much encouraged anyone who hadn’t tried El Santo so far to give the cuisine a go, whether at home, or in the beautiful restaurant in Miller Street.
“October is a very busy month for us, with lots of fun and exciting events where we can showcase our food. Running now until 30th October, Taco Fiesta sees us offering four tacos with guacamole and tortillas for £15, in celebration of International Taco Day. It’s available on weekdays only, as a lunchtime deal for eat-in guests, and all day on Deliveroo. Every Friday and Saturday we have our Latin Fiesta, with live music incredible and cocktails. Sundays sees our bottomless rodizio offer, a special take on Sunday roast.”
“Finally, and well worth waiting for at the end of the month, we have Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, a special two-part celebration. During the day, 2 pm to 5 pm, we will host a family-friendly activity with a makeup artist offering face painting for children, along with colouring sheets that tell the story of the holiday, alongside our special October menu. In the evening, we will host our Fiesta, featuring dancers, a DJ, shot rounds, and an incredible atmosphere. With a DJ from Brazil and Latin American dancers, it will be a true “baile latino”, we can’t wait for you to try it!”
