As it releases it’s 2026 Christmas Menu, The Dalmore Inn in Blairgowrie is once again on the money as one of Perthshire’s best value fine dining restaurants.
Often referred to as a “hidden gem” for offering delicious, locally sourced, elevated dishes at prices that won’t break the bank, the Dalmore Inn serves food as good as, if not better than, many fine dining restaurants across Scotland’s major cities.
Now live for booking, the 2026 Christmas Menu offers two courses at £30.95, with three courses for £36.95.
Head Chef, Iain Naysmith, takes diners on a culinary journey, from Italy to Thailand, Morocco to France, with a variety of cuisines showcased in the festive menu, all with a delicious Scottish twist.
Starter choices include Kedgeree Arancini, an intriguing twist on the traditional Italian rice ball, but served with a warming curry sauce. Or opt for an earthy wild mushroom & truffle pate, or a ham hock terrine, with toasted sourdough, green bean salad & piccalilli.
For the traditionalist, roast turkey takes centre stage in the main course choices, served with all the trimmings, but if you fancy a change, you could opt for the Thai fillet of salmon, with a coconut, lime & lemongrass broth, or braised beef cheek & oxtail cottage pie, another indulgent and comforting dish.
The vegetarian choice is a swede & cauliflower tagine, with pomegranate cous cous, offering all the flavours and spice of the Middle East.
It wouldn’t be a Christmas meal without having a delicious dessert to round things off. There are three tempting desserts to choose from in this menu, including dark chocolate and Baileys parfait, a passionfruit cremeux tart, and a traditional Christmas Pudding.
“It’s the little touches the elevate the dishes on this Christmas 2026 menu,” said Arnaud Merrouche, General Manager of the Dalmore Inn. “Delicious crostini, together with an onion chutney, accompanies the wild mushroom & truffle pate, with Head Chef, Iain, preparing homemade prawn wontons to accompany the salmon.”
“Desserts really come into their own, with our talented Pastry Chef, Christine, now part of our kitchen team. A fantastic white chocolate sorbet is paired with the dark chocolate & Baileys parfait, with eggnog ice cream and rum anglaise paring up with the Christmas Pudding. We also have a cooling and refreshing coconut sorbet with the passionfruit tart,” said Arnaud. “Everything is homemade, and prepared fresh on our premises.”
“It’s this level of care and attention to flavours, and to presentation, that really sets these dishes apart.”
Arnaud finished by saying:
“It’s always exciting to reveal the festive menu. We want our customers to look forward to coming to The Dalmore Inn, to enjoy this amazing food, as they celebrate with friends and family.”
“There is something here for every taste -traditional Christmas food, but using a combination of flavours that makes every dish an absolute winner!”
