Foodies across Perthshire, Fife & the Central Belt, can look forward to treating all their senses to an immersive Christmas Launch Night which has just been announced by Loch Leven’s Larder, and its design & homeware store, 1848.

The Kinross-shire destination business aims to bring the magic of Christmas to life on Thursday 8th October, through food, flavour, beautiful gifts and enchanting festive displays, with a special festive supper menu on offer in The Larder Cafe, over two sittings.

“To say that Christmas is our most favourite time of the year at The Larder is something of an understatement,” said Emma McCallum who is Head of the Larder’s expansive Food & Drink Hall. “We absolutely love it, it’s a highlight for the whole team. There’s nothing better than kicking it off with a truly magical Christmas Launch Night which will get everyone in the mood.”

“We invite you to come and wander round our immersive displays, taste, shop and be inspired. Everyone is welcome to come along and browse, joining us for supper if they wish to make a night of it,” said Emma.

A welcome glass of fizz will kick off proceedings for everybody attending, before they begin their festive journey through The Larder’s iconic Italian Palace of Panettone, a spectacular celebration of Italy’s most beloved Christmas treat.

“We have a wide selection of beautiful panettone, Italian delicacies and indulgent festive flavours, alongside the very best of Scotland,” said Emma.

The night also showcases the top festive themes for Christmas 2026, as selected by The Larder and 1848, providing a wealth of inspiration for Christmas at home, from beautifully dressed tables and luxurious decorations, to thoughtful gifts for all the family.

“Once you have had a good look around, we invite you to enjoy a delicious festive supper in The Larder Cafe. The menu, devised by our Head Chef, Brian Padmore, and his team, is warming and indulgent, as you would expect for this time of the year,” said Emma.

Starter choices are the Larder’s delicious winter squash soup, charcoal sourdough, made fresh every day, with beetroot cured Scottish salmon & horseradish mayonnaise, or whipped clava brie herb salad with spicy pear chutney.

For main course, diners can choose from a Yellow Thai monkfish & spinach curry, roast corn-fed chicken breast with Channel Farm homegrown peppery kale, confit onion, fondant potato & red wine gravy, or a tomato and herb risotto topped with roast aubergine and fresh grated Parmesan.

The two decadent dessert choices are roasted plums with a pecan crumb & vanilla ice cream, or dark chocolate delice with Chantilly cream & mulled berries.
