I missed the launch event, but I was lucky enough to be invited at a later date to check these guys out.

I had seen many videos of the launch on TikTok, and the queues were massive, so I couldn’t wait to visit and see what all the fuss was about.

Upon entering, you can either order for takeaway or place your order, head through to the seated area in the back, and wait for your food to arrive. That’s what I did. The seating area at the back is really nice, featuring several booths and long tables. I chose a booth, and it was very comfortable.

I got to speaking with the owner, and rather than ordering from the menu, he offered to make a few dishes for me to try.

I was very excited because it is always nice to get a surprise while filming. After chatting with the owner at the start and the end of my visit, I can say he is lovely and genuinely very nice, and the restaurant’s principles and overall ethos are completely solid.

Fish & Chips

The first dish I tried was the fish and chips. It was a very good portion size, looked really good, and after taking a few photos, it was time to check it out.

I started with the fish. The batter was lovely and thin while still maintaining a very good crispness. It wasn’t greasy in any way, and the fish was perfectly cooked, lovely and flaky, and easily one of the nicest fish dishes I’ve had in a very long time.

The chips were also very nice, exactly as you’d expect. As I mentioned, this was a genuinely great dish. The fish paired wonderfully with the tartar sauce, and if you are a fish and chips lover, I highly recommend trying this, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Chicken Loaded Chips
Chips & Cheese Topped With Chicken, Onions & Peppers, Chilli Sauce & Garlic Mayo, Or Signature Sauce & Chilli Sauce

The next dish I tried was the chicken loaded chips. Just like the fish and chips, the portion size was very generous, and the aroma coming from the plate was amazing.

For my first bite, I made sure to get a little bit of everything, and it did not disappoint. It was packed with flavour, everything you would want from loaded chips. The onions, peppers, sauce, chips, and chicken all combined so well.

The chicken was perfectly cooked and wonderfully tender, and every single bite was packed with flavour and extremely enjoyable from start to finish.

Mixed Kebab
Lamb Chops, Chicken Tikka, Lamb Tikka, Peri Peri Chicken Wings, Served With Salad & Sauce

The next dish I tried was the mixed kebab. Upon arrival, the aroma was absolutely amazing, instantly making my mouth water, and visually it looked really good.

I started with the lamb chops, which were perfectly cooked, had a really lovely seasoning to them, and were extremely moreish. I really loved them.

The tikka was, again, perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and very moreish; it was finished very fast.

Then came the chicken tikka and the peri-peri chicken wings. These were so juicy and tender, with lovely flavors and cooked to absolute perfection. Every single piece was wonderful and juicy, honestly, some of the best chicken tikka and chicken wings I’ve tried in a long time.

Overall, this dish was amazing. In my personal opinion, it was the best of the night, simply due to the incredible flavors and how well everything was cooked. Highly recommended.

Nan Bread

Alongside the three main dishes, I also had some naan bread.

It was really good, very tasty, light, and fluffy, making it the perfect accompaniment with all these dishes.

Final Thoughts…

Firstly, a huge thanks to the team here for the invite, and as I said, it was a genuine pleasure speaking with the owner tonight, he’s such a nice guy. Massive compliments to the chefs as well!

I’ve been very lucky with a lot of my invites turning out to be fantastic, and this place is no exception. It’s definitely somewhere I would highly recommend, whether you’re dining in or ordering a takeaway.

I honestly can’t fault anything tonight. Everything was perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and completely moreish. Because of that, I’m adding this spot to both my top restaurants page and my top takeaway page since they do both so well.
