Visit & Vibes
Today, I was heading over to Hyndland in the West End for lunch with friends to celebrate a friend’s birthday.
I had never been to this restaurant before, so I was really keen to check it out. I’ve driven past it many times and always thought it looked lovely, especially on a sunny day when you can sit outside, which is exactly what we did today.

The Food
Mozzarella Fritta £8.50
Deep fried mozzarella, fresh basil, evoo; served with a chilli dip and a side salad

For my starter, I opted for the mozzarella sticks. When they arrived, the presentation was appealing, and the portion size was just right for a starter.
Taking my first bite, I found them perfectly cooked—with a lovely crispy coating and a gooey, cheesy centre. As expected, the flavour was spot on, and I really enjoyed that first bite.
On my second bite, I decided to try them with the accompanying sauce, and I’m glad I did. The sauce was incredibly tasty, a rich and vibrant tomato flavour that really elevated an already delicious dish.
I thoroughly enjoyed this starter from beginning to end. Whether eaten on its own or dipped in the sauce, it was packed with flavour, and the portion was ideal. It definitely set a great tone for the rest of the meal.

Pepperoni Pizza £14.00
Pomodoro sauce base topped with Fior di Latte cheese and hot pepperoni.

For my main, I decided to go with the classic pepperoni pizza, even though there were plenty of other styles on the menu that sounded really tempting.
When it arrived, it looked and smelled amazing, and the portion size was very generous.
From the first bite, it was clear this pizza was packed with flavour. The pepperoni had a bold, rich taste that really stood out—in the best way.
It was very filling but also thoroughly enjoyable. A solid, satisfying pizza that I’d happily have again.

Tiramisu £7.00
Coffee-soaked sponge fingers layered with a whipped mascarpone cream filling and dusted with cocoa powder

I wasn’t planning on having dessert, but when a few others decided to order one, I thought I might as well—and I opted for the tiramisu.
When it arrived, it was a generous slice and looked absolutely delicious. From the first bite, I knew I’d made the right choice—it was incredibly tasty. I’d probably rank it among my top three tiramisus.
I’m really glad I decided to go for it, as I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and savoured the whole thing.
