Visit & Vibes
I was recommended this place by one of my South Indian friends, who told me I had to check it out. Today, I happened to be in the area and was only about a 20-minute drive away, so I finally decided to visit.

Parking was a little tricky, but luckily it was after a certain time, so I managed to find a spot quite close. Inside, the place looked very nice, and the staff were all very friendly. I couldn’t wait to check out the menu.

Chatti Choru Is A Kerala-style Rice Dish Served In An Earthen Pot, Or Chati With A Variety Of Accompaniments

This dish was recommended to me by one of my South Indian friends, who said it’s just like how they serve it in Kerala.
When it arrived, it was beautifully presented in an earthen pot—and the moment I opened it, the aroma hit me. It was rich, warm, and inviting.
The base layer was a bed of matta rice, and nestled on top were a variety of accompaniments: beef fry, crispy fried chicken, and fried fish. There were also some pickles, an omelette, and a few other traditional elements. To complement the meal, I was given a small bowl of curry and a creamy curry sauce on the side.
I’m not hugely experienced when it comes to eating with my hands, though I managed reasonably well when I celebrated Onam with my South Indian friends. This time, I took the easy route and used cutlery.
I started with the beef, which was incredibly tender and full of flavour—perfectly cooked. It was a little spicy at first, but once that settled, the taste really came through and it was absolutely delicious. The rice was cooked to perfection, light and fluffy, and the fried chicken was wonderfully crispy.
Every element of this dish was bursting with flavour. It was hearty, satisfying, and honestly, I’m so glad I tried it.
It’s a very filling dish—I didn’t even manage a starter or a dessert. But it was worth every bite. I love trying new dishes like this, and this one really stood out.

Final Thoughts…
As I said, I’m really glad I tried this place and got to experience a new dish. Looking at the menu, there were quite a few other options that caught my eye—definitely some dishes I’d love to try on my next visit, as they sounded delicious.
Everything tonight—from the service to the food—was excellent. I honestly couldn’t fault anything, and I’m already looking forward to coming back to try more.
