I was recently invited to CHICKY’S on Jack Street to check the place out and try something specific on the menu.

I’d seen a few people promote it before, and I liked the look of it—so we set a date and paid a visit.

The interior is nicely designed, with several tables available for dining in. If you live nearby, you can also order online for delivery.

Burger & Tender Box
Flavoured Crispy Chicken Burger, 2pc Flavoured Crispy Tenders – Drizzled with Sesame Seeds. Add Cheese for 50p, Fries – Spice Rub for Extra 30p, 1x 330ml Drink, 1 Dip

The first part of my order was the Burger and Tender Box. I customised it by adding coleslaw and cheese to the burger, and for the chicken tenders, I chose the barbecue flavour.

When it arrived at the table, the portion size was very generous. Everything looked great, and the aroma from both the burger and the tenders was amazing.

I started with the chicken tenders—they were perfectly cooked, very tender, and packed with flavour. I could’ve easily eaten more of them. These were absolutely delicious, and I’m already looking forward to having them again.

The chicken burger was just like the tenders—perfectly cooked with a lovely crispiness to the batter. It had great flavour, and the combination of the cheese and coleslaw made it even tastier. I enjoyed every bite from start to finish.

Lastly, the chips were lovely and crispy, adding to the overall experience. Everything in this Burger and Tender Box was full of flavour. For me, the chicken tenders were the standout, but the burger was also excellent. I’d definitely order this again—I genuinely couldn’t find a single fault with it.

Mini Smashed Sliders
5x Mini Beef Burgers Carnalised in Your Chosen Flavour Sauce, Finished With Crispy Onions, Severed With Cheese Sauce Dip

Next up were their Mini Smashed Sliders. These were recommended as part of my invite, and we opted for the Hot and Sweet flavour. When they arrived, the presentation was interesting, and they came with a delicious cheese sauce dip.

Taking a bite of one on its own—really tasty! The Hot and Sweet wasn’t too spicy, which worked well for me, and it added a lovely kick of flavour to the smashed burger. Dipping it into the cheese sauce gave it an extra layer of deliciousness. They were so easy to eat and enjoy.

Presentation-wise, I wasn’t completely sold, but it was definitely eye-catching. Flavour-wise, though, it was a definite win. This is another dish I’d happily order again from here.

Final Thoughts…

A big thanks to the team for the invite and for giving me the chance to try another new place. I always enjoy discovering new spots, and CHICKY’S was a great find.

It was really nice to sit in and enjoy tonight’s meal—the staff were very friendly, and the food was full of flavour. For me, the winners were definitely the chicken tenders and the mini smashed sliders, but honestly, everything was well-cooked, packed with flavour, and something I’d happily have again.
