I was recently invited to Grillzz in Airdrie, where they’ve just opened their first proper sit-in restaurant. I’ve had takeaway from their other two branches before, so I was really looking forward to returning and checking out this new location.

On arrival, we were welcomed by a bagpiper playing outside and a DJ inside. The interior is really nice, with a warm, relaxing, and modern vibe. It’s clear they’ve invested a lot of time and money into the design, carefully considering the colour scheme and overall atmosphere. I was impressed and couldn’t wait to try the food that evening.

Looking at the menu, there were so many items I wanted to try, but I didn’t want to overdo it tonight. One dish that really stood out was their Cheesy German Doner, which is apparently one of their best-selling kebab sandwiches—so I had to try it, especially since I’m a big fan of doner meat.

When it arrived, the portion size was generous and the aroma was mouthwatering. I started with the chips, which were perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and full of flavour.

Then it was time to dive into the main event: the doner kebab. From the very first bite, I was impressed. The flavours were fantastic—you could taste each component individually, yet they all came together perfectly. The doner meat had a rich, well-seasoned taste, and when combined with the cabbage, onions, sauce, and melted cheese, it was absolutely delicious. I can definitely see why this is one of their best-selling kebabs.

This was super tasty, and I would happily order it again on my next visit—that’s how good it was. If you’re a fan of doner kebabs, you absolutely need to try this one. You won’t be disappointed.

JALAPENO BOMBERS

I decided to have a side dish tonight and went for the Jalapeño Bombers.

Once again, the portion size was generous for a side, and I couldn’t wait to dig in. With the first bite, I was hooked—the batter was perfectly crispy, followed by an explosion of jalapeño heat and gooey melted cheese. Super tasty and seriously addictive. I could have easily eaten another one… or two more portions!

This is a side I’d highly recommend. If you’re a fan of jalapeños, you’ll keep coming back for more. It’s absolutely delicious—definitely one to check out.

BISCOFF COOKIE DOUGH

I couldn’t leave without having a dessert—even though I was already a bit full. But if you know me, you’ll know I’m a massive fan of cookie dough, so I had to go for the Biscoff Cookie Dough.

When it arrived, the portion size was very generous, and the aroma was incredible. I couldn’t wait to dig in.

From the first big spoonful, I was in heaven. It was absolutely delicious. The cookie dough was perfectly cooked—soft, sweet, and packed with flavour. The combination of the Biscoff biscuits and sauce took it to the next level. It was rich, indulgent, and completely hit the spot.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth and love cookie dough, this is a must-try. You won’t be disappointed—it’ll definitely satisfy your dessert cravings.

Final Thoughts…

Overall, tonight’s visit was excellent. It was great to see the team again and even better to see how far they’ve come—I’m genuinely happy for them.

The food tonight was flawless. I enjoyed every single dish I had, and as I mentioned earlier, I’m already looking forward to coming back—whether it’s dining in again or ordering from their takeaway menu. A few of their burgers really caught my eye, and I can’t wait to try them next time.
