TriBeCa (West End, Glasgow) 2024 : Review

Visit & Vibes

I received a message a few weeks ago from the team at Tribeca inviting me to check out their new menu. After juggling numerous appointments and other invitations, we finally set a date, and I visited recently.

I’ve been to Tribeca before and really enjoyed it. When I stayed in the West End, I visited several times, so I was eagerly anticipating my return.

The interior hasn’t changed much since my last visit. It still has that very cool vibe and look. Though I didn’t recognize any faces from before, I was excited to see what their new menu had to offer and what I would order.

BROOKLYN PANCAKE BURGER £n/a today (normally £16.95)
Double Beef Pattie, American Cheese & Candied Bacon And Peanut Butter Served In Two Buttermilk Pancakes, Served With House Skin On Fries

I felt like having a burger since I hadn’t had one in a long time. So, I decided to check out that section of the menu first before looking at the rest. One burger caught my eye because it featured pancakes instead of buns, along with candied bacon and peanut butter. Yes, that’s right, peanut butter on a burger. I had to try it and see what it was like.

When it arrived, the burger was massive. I wasn’t sure how I was going to eat it. As you can see, it’s huge. The aroma was very appetizing, but I decided to start with the fries. They were perfectly cooked and had a great flavour. I stopped after a few fries to make sure I’d have room for the burger, as I was very hungry.

Picking up the burger was difficult, but I managed. I took a huge bite and wow, it was interesting. The first thing I tasted was the pancake, followed by the burger and cheese. It was a very tasty bite. The pancake had a lovely flavour, clearly a buttermilk pancake. The burgers were juicy and flavorful. Everything worked well together, but I was still waiting to taste the candied bacon and peanut butter. So, I went for a second bite.

With the second bite, I got everything. At first, the peanut butter was a bit confusing, but it added an interesting texture and extra flavour. I never would have expected it to work, but for me, it did. The bacon, however, was disappointing. I couldn’t really tell it was candied, and it was quite chewy because the fat wasn’t crispy. Despite that, everything else was delicious.

I was very hungry and looking forward to trying a dessert, but I couldn’t finish the burger because it was extremely filling. I was disappointed to leave some behind because it was so tasty. I was so full that if I ate any more, I would have needed someone to carry me home. That’s how full I was.

Overall, this was a really tasty burger. The only disappointment was the bacon, which was too chewy and didn’t have much candied flavour. If they made it crispier or removed the fat, it would have been perfect. Despite that, I would still recommend this burger. The burgers here have always been good, and I’ve always recommended this place to others. With this new addition to the menu, if you’re a burger fan and extremely hungry, you should definitely check it out.

OREO MILKSHAKE £n/a today (normally £5.95)
Crushed Oreos, Chocolate Sauce, Vanilla Ice Cream

Alongside the massive burger, I decided to order a milkshake since I hadn’t had one in a long time, and I remembered the milkshakes here being excellent. I opted for the Oreo milkshake.

When it arrived, I loved the presentation. It was really nice, and I couldn’t wait to try it.

Taking a big sip, I found it as good as I remembered. It wasn’t too thick to drink easily; it had a perfect consistency, and the flavour was spot on. I enjoyed it from start to finish and would happily have it again and again. That’s how good it was.

If you’re a milkshake lover, definitely check it out and try their other flavours. This one is highly recommended.

Final Thoughts…

Overall, I would like to extend a big thanks to the team for inviting me and for my meal today. As you’ve seen from the blog above, it was really tasty. The burger was massive, and the milkshake was spot on.

It was good to be back, as it had been a long time coming. Tribeca had been on my to-visit list, but I’ve been busy as always. However, I always make sure to make time for invites.

Have you been here? If not, or even if you have, you should come back and check out their new menu. There are loads of options, so you’re definitely going to find something you’ll love.

If you do go for this burger, make sure you are extremely hungry. Let me know what you think of it, especially with the peanut butter. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
