Visit & Vibes

I visit The Kraken Chippy quite often, ever since I started my house renovation up to the present. It’s on my way home, so I occasionally drop in to get something. Today, I got something different, so I thought I would write a little review about it, since I usually get the same thing and you probably don’t want to read about that repeatedly.

The staff here are always extremely friendly and very nice. You can tell they are hard workers because the place is always busy and impeccably clean.

In the past three visits, I was recommended to try a pizza, but I opted for just a portion of chips as I wasn’t too hungry. However, tonight I decided to keep my word and go for the pizza.

This pizza sounded extremely interesting. It had a curry base, which I love, so that was an instant win. It’s pizza, so that’s another instant win. It also had salt and chili chicken on it, and I love anything with salt and chili, so I was sure this was going to be a win.

When I opened the box at home, the smell was really good. Visually, as you can see, the pizza looked quite interesting, and I couldn’t wait to dig in as I was extremely hungry tonight.

Picking up a slice, I noticed that everything was evenly distributed across the pizza, ensuring that each slice offered a taste of everything, which was really good. Now it was time to dig in.

Taking a bite, the pizza base was lovely and thin. The toppings hit me first: the chicken, cooked to perfection and nice and tender, had a very nice taste with the salt and chili flavours coming through in the background. Then I got some of the onions and cheese, followed by the curry sauce, which worked really, really well.

This is a very good pizza, and I’ll be honest, I finished it very, very fast. One, because I was very hungry, and two, because it was extremely tasty.

Thanks for the recommendation, guys. I will definitely have this again when I am very hungry and passing by. Next time, I’ll check out what other pizzas they have and see how they compare to this one.
