Slowly, I’m making progress on my return-to-list, aiming to catch up on everything and fulfil my promises to revisit places. Tonight’s destination was Elixir Shisha Lounge and Restaurant.

I’ve visited this spot before, both for shisha and meals. On one occasion, I savoured an exceptional chicken burger, which remains one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Tonight, I aimed to explore something new, both in terms of cuisine and shisha flavours.

Upon arrival, I was informed about a new private section. Curious, I agreed to check it out.

The private area offers a serene escape from the bustling atmosphere, allowing guests to relax and engage in conversations. Additionally, on sunny days, the ceiling can be opened slightly, inviting in fresh air and the pleasant weather we enjoyed today.

Since my last visit, I had indulged in the chicken burger, so this time I opted for something different, especially upon learning that they had revamped their menu. I decided to revisit their Wagyu beef burger and see how it stacked up.

Upon arrival, I was impressed by the presentation. The portion size of the fries was generous, and the burger itself looked appetizing.

Look at the burger when it arrived, it was made up of the usual items—buns, lettuce, tomato, sauce, etc.—along with two smashed patties. For me, smashed patties are always the way to go; they give me a superior taste and are a personal favourite. With the first bite, the house sauce infused the Wagyu beef burger with a delightful flavour. The burger was cooked to perfection, boasting a delicious taste throughout. Every bite, from start to finish, was exceptionally enjoyable.

I devoured the burger quite quickly, indicating my genuine enjoyment. Remarkably, I didn’t feel overly full or bloated afterwards, a testament to the quality ingredients used. Though tempted, indulging in another one or two would have been excessively greedy. The fries, like the burger, were impeccably cooked and possessed a delightful flavour. Dipping them into the house sauce elevated their taste to another level.

Overall, this dish—the beef burger and fries—was outstanding. I highly recommend it to fellow burger enthusiasts. Give it a try and let me know your thoughts.

As I perused the shisha menu, one option immediately caught my eye. A friendly staff member, whom I often chat with during my visits and who has a knack for recommending items aligned with my taste, coincidentally suggested the exact same one I had chosen. This synchronicity was a promising sign, indicating their keen understanding of their patrons’ preferences.

Once I started puffing on this particular shisha, I found it quite delightful. It offered a pleasant flavour profile, not overly potent but still enjoyable, with a perfect balance.
