Visit & Vibes

It was time to revisit a place on my list of returns, and tonight, Urban Lounge was the random selection. I had been here a while ago for some food and shisha, so that was the plan for this evening.

As I drove up, I noticed something slightly different: there was a new extension added on the outside. It looked very nice.

Upon entering Urban Lounge, I discovered a new hallway, which was modern and cool. After reaching the reception and taking a quick look around, the main area seemed kind of the same as last time.

However, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted the new extension and had to take a closer look. Wow, this would be a great location for the summer. It’s cosy, spacious, and in my opinion, makes a massive difference to the look and feel of Urban Lounge

The Food

Chicken Tikka Nachos £7.50

Apart from ordering some shisha, specifically the pan and mango flavour, which is starting to become a favourite of mine, I also wanted to order some food. Glancing at the menu, I wasn’t too hungry, so I thought I’d just order a small snack to enjoy while chatting with my friend and smoking shisha.

I decided on the Chicken Tikka Nachos. When they arrived, the portion size was very generous. The aroma from the Chicken Tikka was delightful, and I couldn’t wait to dig in.

The Chicken Tikka was perfectly cooked and had an amazing flavour. It was so good that I could have easily just ordered a dish of diced Chicken Tikka. The nachos and cheese were enjoyable, although the layering could have been improved. Ideally, nachos should be layered as nachos, cheese, nachos, cheese, and then the topping. Instead, there were plenty of nachos, a bit of cheese on top, and then the Chicken Tikka.

While some people might find this arrangement satisfactory, personally, I prefer a more evenly layered approach when it comes to nachos. Nevertheless, overall, it was a pleasant experience. The portion size was generous, and the Chicken Tikka was exceptional. However, in my opinion, the layering could have been better.

Final Thoughts…

Overall, my evening was delightful. I had a relaxed time, caught up with a friend, enjoyed the shisha, and savoured the chicken tikka nachos.

I look forward to returning when the weather improves to explore the new addition outside and experience the atmosphere there. Hopefully, the Scottish sun will enhance the experience, making it even more enjoyable.
