Jurassic Grill (Loch Lomond) 2023 : Review

Visit & Vibes

I noticed a new burger place had opened in Loch Lomond Shores a while ago. Despite my busy schedule with work, socializing, house renovations, and the general busyness of life, I finally had the chance to check it out today.

Upon entering, you’re transported to another world with dinosaurs adorning the staircase. If you’re a big kid at heart like me, it instantly brings a smile to your face. The place has two sections – the grill area for food and the ice section for desserts.

Opting for a meal at Jurassic Grill, I observed the well-decorated space with plenty of dinosaurs, creating a pleasant ambience. While it seems geared towards kids and families, I chose to embrace my inner child and enjoy the experience of sitting in.

The Food

Blue Raptor £13.95
6oz Beef patty topped with blue cheese sauce and burger cheese, crispy bacon, and hot sauce served in a brioche bun with lettuce and tomato

I  was eager to try a burger after hearing positive reviews, and the Blue Raptor burger caught my attention, especially with its distinctive blue brioche bun.

Upon arrival, it looked appealing, and the aroma was satisfactory. The chunky chips provided good value for money at first glance. Taking a substantial bite, I found the burger to resemble a frozen food style but with a pleasant taste. The bacon was delightfully crispy, and the inclusion of blue cheese mayo and cheese slices, along with the vibrant blue bun, enhanced the overall experience.

Despite the burger having a flavour reminiscent of frozen patties, it was enjoyable and represented good value for money. The perfectly cooked chips didn’t require any additional salting, at least for my taste.

Volcano Wings £13.95
Hot wings smothered with extra hot sauce served with a side of blue cheese sauce, chunky chips and in-house slaw

I was also interested in trying another dish, and the hot wings immediately caught my attention.

Upon arrival, you receive a generous portion, and once again, it includes its own small side of fries, which was a pleasant surprise.

Taking a couple of bites of the chicken wings, they did have a bit of a kick, although not as massive as the name suggested.

For someone like me, who isn’t great with too much spice, it was just right. Flavor-wise, they were satisfactory.

The chicken wings were perfectly cooked and satisfying. Overall, they were enjoyable, and the spiciness was subtle.

Final Thoughts…

I wanted to try a dessert, so we decided to head to Jurassic Ice for that, concluding my review for Jurassic Grill here. Overall, it was an okay meal. The burger was enjoyable, though I wouldn’t label it the best I’ve had. The chicken wings were good with a subtle kick, which suited my taste. The restaurant is clearly designed for small kids and families, especially for a quick bite during shopping. In summary, today’s meal was satisfactory, and I’m glad I gave them a try.

Throughout the entire meal, the staff were exceptionally pleasant and friendly. They went the extra mile by bringing over a couple of baby velociraptors for us to see, which was particularly cool, especially for families with kids. Their assistance couldn’t have been more helpful. A huge thank you to all the staff today for their outstanding service.
