The Tea’

The folks over at iTeaWorld surprised me with yet another delightful package, this time filled with a variety of green teas. As I eagerly unwrapped the package, I was greeted by a charming little box, thoughtfully presented. Inside, I discovered a nifty information card and a selection of tea bags to house these tantalizing green brews.

This attention to detail in their packaging truly set the stage for my exciting journey into the world of green tea. If you haven’t had a chance to peruse my earlier tea reviews from iTeaWorld , I highly recommend giving them a read.

Honestly, I couldn’t find a single fault with this new green tea assortment. With a diverse range of flavours and aromas, I’m certain there’s a tea in there that will capture your heart. And even if you’re a picky tea connoisseur, I’m confident you’ll stumble upon something truly enchanting among these offerings.

Enshi Jade Dew Green Tea

The Only Steamed Chinese Green Tea.
Aroma: Prominent seaweed aroma.
Taste Note: Rich and refreshing.
Plucking Standard: Primarily one bud with one leaf, spring tea from April 2023.

My inaugural sip on this tea journey led me to the intriguing Enshi Jade Dew Green Tea. Admittedly, I had never crossed paths with this particular tea before, but that’s precisely the charm of this beautifully presented package and the teas within. Like its predecessors, this tea was a novel experience for me.

Following the familiar brewing instructions, I eagerly poured myself a cup and settled in for a moment of tea bliss.

The Enshi Jade Dew Green Tea turned out to be quite the enigma. Its delicate aroma was barely a whisper, and its flavor was a refreshing taste with a hint of sweetness and a subtle, delicate aroma.

Enshi Jade Dew Green Tea is a high-quality green tea that originates from the Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hubei Province, China.

Dragon Well (Long Jing)

One of China’s Most Famous Green Teas.
Aroma: Fresh, nutty aroma
Taste Note: Sweet, mellow, and refreshing, with a strong lingering aftertaste.
Plucking Standard: One bud with two leaves, spring tea from April 2023.

The Longjing green tea was my next delightful exploration.

Upon pouring, its aroma already set it apart from my previous tea experience, sparking my anticipation. While the visual aspect of green tea remains fairly consistent, it’s the intricacies of flavour profiles, aromas, and geographical nuances in their production that contribute to the unique and delightful taste of each.

Longjing green tea stood out with its distinct and pleasing flavour, making it my preferred choice among the two I’ve sampled so far.

Biluochun Green Tea

A Famous Tea With A History Of 1000 Years.
Aroma: Floral and fruity
Taste Note: Fresh, mellow, and sweet with a long lingering aftertaste.
Plucking Standard: One bud with one leaf, tea harvested before the Qingming Festival in March 2023.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the Biluochun Green Tea, and it was my third tea adventure in a row.

After falling in love with the second one, I couldn’t wait to see what this famous tea had in store.

The aroma of the Biluochun Green Tea was subtle and somewhat floral, setting the stage for what I anticipated would be a delightful experience.

However, the taste turned out to be equally subtle, and I found it challenging to discern distinct flavours.

The tea had a fresh and mellow quality with a touch of sweetness, but the taste was not as robust as I had expected. Despite its long lingering aftertaste, this tea left me wanting a bit more flavour intensity.

Nonetheless, it’s always fascinating to explore the world of teas, and Biluochun’s rich history adds an extra layer of intrigue to the journey.
