I love a wee visit here, the drive is nice, the location is nice and the food is always good.

Today was a lovely sunny day and I finally got the chance to sit outside and have my meal outside with a great view.

This was really nice to be able to sit outside, and just listening to nature and enjoy a sunny day.

The Food

I have had a few dishes here in the past and normally I try not to order what I have had before, but today I ordered two dishes I have had in the past as I really enjoyed them.

Chicken Liver Parfait £10.50
Sourdough Toast

I have had this dish in the past and enjoyed it, so today I wanted to try it again and see if it was just as good as I remember.

On arrival, this looked very good, and I couldn’t wait to dig right in.

I spread the butter and the parfait and took a good big bite.

This was very very good! packed with flavour and worked really well with the sourdough toast.

Every bite was packed with great flavour and texture, and its one of the nicest chicken liver parfait I have had in a long time.

Traditional battered fresh Fish & Chips £15.75

I loved this last time I had it, you had a great portion of chips and a mega tasty fish…would it be the same at this visit?

On arrival, wow this was a big plate and it looked very very good! it was just like the last time.

I started with the chips and these were perfectly cooked and had a lovely little crispness to them. Just like last time they didn’t require any salting for me then and also at today’s visit.

Now time to try the fish…

I cut into it and felt a lovely light crispness to the batter, then the aroma hit me and it was really nice…and as you can see from the photo the fish was lovely and flaky.

The fish had a great taste to it and was just as good as I remember.
