Visit & Vibes

I spent the weekend in the South of France, starting in Arles. For the last day, I traveled down to Marseille on Sunday and headed home on Monday. This is where I stayed.

The hotel was situated near the new port, just a short walk away from the old port, which is the main attraction for this visit.

The Arrival

Upon entering, the hotel exuded a modern and bright style, and it was impeccably clean. This set a positive tone for my experience.

They had a spacious and lovely bar area with a seating/lounge section, and I noticed that the breakfast area was situated just to the side.

I felt a very positive vibe as I waited to check-in, and throughout the duration of my stay, this entrance area consistently maintained a high level of cleanliness and a relaxed atmosphere.

Bedroom

After checking in, we received our room numbers and proceeded to inspect the room, dropping off our bags before venturing out to explore and enjoy the location.

This was my room, and I was pleased to find it spacious with a window overlooking the port.

Everything was exceptionally clean; I couldn’t find any traces of dust, so I was very impressed.

The bed was extremely comfortable to sleep on, and the pillows were equally cozy. They leaned towards the softer side, so if you prefer a firmer pillow, you might want to request one when staying here.

Bathroom

Similar to everything else so far, the bathroom was also a very good size and, once again, spotlessly clean.

Personally, I would have preferred a walk-in shower rather than a bath, but that is a matter of personal preference.

I can’t find fault with anything else in the bathroom. The water temperature was perfect, the water pressure was good, and they provided everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

Dining / Breakfast Area

I had booked a bed and breakfast, so upon waking up, I was eager to explore the breakfast area and see what it had to offer.

Upon arrival, the breakfast area was spacious and featured the same modern yet relaxing decor and atmosphere as the rest of the hotel.

The breakfast options were amazing, ranging from standard continental choices to warm dishes and cereal. There was an abundance of choices, and everything appeared fresh and very appetizing.

I sampled a few items, and everything tasted great.

Final Thoughts…

From check-in to checkout, I can’t find any faults with my stay. The staff were very pleasant, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is approximately a 20-minute walk to the old port, where most of the shops and restaurants are situated. This makes it a great location, and the cost is also very reasonable.
